This jogger who killed the baby mountain lion with his bare hands....
 

So it’s cool he didn’t get eaten by a mt lion, i guess

But like, he chose to go running thru what amounts to this animals house, at a time authorities had posted warnings about mt lion activity. He was like “nah f that, this my favorite trail, im strong/brave plus gotta run gotta get that joggers high!!!!”

So this animal (which was apparently a baby abandoned by its mother, they’ve discovered) sees the dude and has its instincts triggered and attacks him

And he brutally strangled it with his bare hands and the press is all “gosh what a hero! Can u believe this man! What a champion!”

But i feel the story is actually rather sad, isn’t it? And emblematic of man’s inability to see the world as anything but a big playground for man to do whatever the f man wanna do at any given moment?

Maybe next time stay home when there’s mt lion warnings, and no one will have to die

As a friend to all animals, I have sometimes thought about what I would do if one attacked me, and honestly I don't think I could in good conscience kill it even to save my life
