Have you ever been with someone who addmitted they were mischievous?

Have you ever been in a relationship with a man or woman who basically admitted they were spoiled rotten and evil and mischievous? So its almost like a snake admitting that its just in their nature to bite people. The analogy of the snake being aware that all it will ever do is just randomly bite people. And then you wonder if the person has admitted they are evil how can you trust them? How long will it be before they just turn on you again?

FoolofaTook 11-11-2018 09:28 AM

Two things:

1. Snakes don't randomly bite ppl.

2. And it's "...like a snake admitting that it's just in its nature..."

Mals Marola 11-11-2018 12:15 PM

Been with someone who was at least 2 of those things but would never admit it
Currently with someone who's practically none but thinks they are & says it openly

But how am I supposed to compare either to the tracklisting of the latest Queens of the Stone Age album?

this is actually interesting, it's the first time (as far as I remember) that Catherine Wheel actually tries to involve other posters in his topic, instead of just stating something that reads as if people are just supposed to read it and think 'ok' or something

this is progress!

Do you guys say mis-CHEEV-ee-us or MIS-chiv-us?

yo soy el mejor 11-11-2018 08:05 PM

depends, i think. i might say mis-CHEEV-eus if talking about a person. but MIS-chiv-us when describing a smile.

TuralyonW3 11-11-2018 09:07 PM

CW are you an incel?

Shallowed 11-11-2018 09:10 PM

Where the fuck would this extra "ee" syllable come from? The word is spelt "mischievous."

"Mischievious" is a common misspelling that goes back far enough that maybe it ought to be considered an acceptable alternative spelling now. And if you spell it that way, sure, you would pronounce it how it is spelt. But if the word is "mischievous," there's no way you can get "mis-CHEE-vee-us" out of that.

reprise85 11-11-2018 09:50 PM

colonel though

ilikeplanets 11-11-2018 10:18 PM

all about mis-CHEE-vee-us over here and i relish in the incorrectness

butthurt 11-12-2018 12:34 AM

I've met many tricksters on this planet.

People say it. Who can say why people do the things they do. But it's not an uncommon pronunciation in the places I've lived

Patricia O'Conner:

"It has only three syllables: MIS-chuh-vus. No, it doesn't rhyme with devious."

but i don't know. like ilp said, i kinda like it when language gets mangled and twisted.

ilikeplanets 11-12-2018 11:20 AM

I draw the line at "irregardless" and "once'd and twice'd" though....oh, Alabama. You idiots.

Disco King 11-12-2018 03:01 PM

How about "addmitted?"

reprise85 11-12-2018 03:14 PM

i say it misCHEvious

fuck the haters

reprise85 11-12-2018 03:15 PM

but yes someone telling you they're a bad person and hurt other people is a big red flag that they will do it to you. in their mind it might even be justified, because "they warned you"

this is a real thing that happens. I have been on both sides of various versions of "I am bad for you/I am going to wind up breaking your heart/I hurt everything I touch."

It's like an excuse to proceed into a situation you know is toxic and harmful for one or both people.
