A Star is Born

Believe the hype. My god. It is perfect.

Shallowed 10-07-2018 09:10 PM

ok

Shallowed 10-07-2018 09:11 PM

sorry that was a bit harsh

Eulogy 10-07-2018 09:21 PM

I had to stop myself from audibly sobbing. I’d never seen any of the prior versions fwiw

Eulogy 10-07-2018 09:21 PM

Lady Gaga is absolutely astonishing in it.

Eulogy 10-07-2018 09:22 PM

I really haven’t been that affected by a movie in as long as I can remember.

vixnix 10-07-2018 09:49 PM

I've seen the previews and I want to like it because I like Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, but the snippets I saw induced a few cringes.

I suppose I'll give it a go. Thank u for ur honest review

Eulogy 10-07-2018 09:57 PM

There is a tiny bit of a drag at one point but the payoff is so good I can’t be even a little annoyed.

D. 10-07-2018 10:06 PM

I'm kinda dying to see this tbh

Eulogy 10-07-2018 10:11 PM

I would see it again. And usually I don’t like seeing movies twice.

Shallowed 10-07-2018 10:15 PM

Only movie I've seen at the cinema twice is Mad Max Fury Road

And Ice Age, but that was against my will

noyen 10-09-2018 12:28 AM

the hype on the view?

pale_princess 10-10-2018 01:13 PM

I fucking loved ASIB. Gaga and Cooper were both increds, loved Shangela and Willam and The Dice Man was surprisingly great! Sam Elliot did his usual thing but it suited the flick.

The best part of the movie for me was how it dealt with addiction as a disease. The Grammys scene ruined me and so did I'll Never Love Again. I'm off the deep end, what can I say?

Anyway, all said, I'd rank it as my 5th-favorite of 2018 so far. And I've seen LOTS of good stuff. I fucking love awards season.

lady gaga looks different. i just can't put my finger on it.

i saw the previews for this movie at another movie. tim is out of town until sunday. maybe i will take myself to see it after my midterm saturday if i deserve it (aka get some pressing work done).

yo soy el mejor 10-11-2018 09:54 PM

or maybe i wont!

Eulogy 10-11-2018 11:22 PM

You should. Especially if you’re going in blind about the story, which I did intentionally.

toase 10-11-2018 11:57 PM

willam? ok I'm hyped

pale_princess 10-12-2018 12:21 AM

Fave song from the soundtrack? Mine's Heal Me.

Eulogy 10-12-2018 07:57 AM

I downloaded a handful but haven’t listened to them because I’m not sure id like them out of context and I don’t want to poison my love for it yet
