No more microhits or megahits for me but life has been super stressful so it's trippy enough learning how to cope without old crutches. I will be having some hard cider this season, however. Yum.
Halloween decorating has already been done at our humble abode! We have pumpkins, we have ghosts, vampires, witches, skeletons, bats, and even some glittery stuff! I've turned into a festive type. Good thing I don't celebrate Christmas or else I'd have a serious electric bill! |
Yeah fuck xmas
Thank F for halloween It’s the only time of desperate year for me that this biblebelted midwestern birthcountry of mine becomes briefly marginally survivably unusual |
Gosh i wish everyone who likes hauntedhouse style spookies could play layers of fear with me tonite

gonna be the first time I will partake in Halloween activities (besides showing up dressed up at work parties), I am le excite, Halloween is something I loved growing up watching on tv and wished we had that holiday, and now I finally get it!
what I learned so far: - if you wanna participate as home in trick or treating, you leave the porch light on - only hand out prepackaged stuff what I don't know and kinda don't wanna ask friends because it's embarrassing: are there any "security concerns" on Halloween? I have the odd thing in the back of my head that I will be home alone and open the door time after time, and don't know exactly who is standing out there. I should maybe just stop watching horror movies. |
don't worry i'll be hiding out in your front lawn hedge to make sure you're safe!
|
|
I got permission from the neighborhood association to load up my shotgun with Pop Rocks and Nerds and blast it at anyone who comes to the door
|
halloween is apparently a thing now in my country. I'm gonna go trick or treating all day long.
|
I see two problems with this:
1. It's at night. 2. You're not old enough. 3. Is your country even real? |
1. Sorry.
2. Last time I heard that was in 1847. 4. Thanks. |
:)
Look, I am not trying to be mean or anything but I have to share this with you. I walk around everyday for hours on the trails. There's this dude who sort of resembles you. His red hair is a little longer and he's a bigger man, but he still kinda reminds me of you. Anyways he bikes around wearing nothing but these tiny olive green shorts. I've taken to calling him (silently in my craven heart) "shirtless-smashingjayjay dude". now every time he comes breezing by i think of his nickname and a stupid smile starts struggling to burst from my lips. i scrunch up my face and pray that he doesn't notice my inner turmoil. i feel very foolish. that is all. |
i've been wanting to share this with you for a month but i am bashful.
|
don't be angry it is just a funny story.
 |
*blasts Bela Lugosi's Dead*
|
what's your guyses favorite halloween flicks?
mine's ed wood. |
Halloween (1978) is the best horror movie of all time do not @ me lest you want to fight me
|
Halloween II is also perfect but in a different way.
Halloween III: Season of the Witch is a perfectly fine movie if you can get over the fact that it has nothing 2 do with Michael Myers and you accept it as the first installation of an abandoned project to make Halloween into annual, non-related pulp horror flicks. |
Now that I got that off my chest, I ride hard for the Paranormal Activity franchise.
Classic horrors are good, too, don't get me wrong but I respect those more than I actually enjoy them. |
Of course, my other go-tos are the usual fare: Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm, & the first three Child's Plays are my jam. Wasn't big on the remake of Ft13th and I never bothered with Chucky after the first three.
|
you like any vampire stuff?
|
I've not gotten into too much. I'm open though.
My horror is usually in line with what i grew up with - stalker stuff, kind of slow moving dread. Jump scares don't age well over time. New-ish joint I fell in love with was House of the Devil. I also like In the Mouth of Madness! |
If it's well done satanic stuff, im totally game. Nothing 2 goofy but terror as you realize the scope of what is implied gets to me good.
Growing up w michael myers made me terrified of being alone in a house or waking up to see someone standing there. It implies to me that you are helpless and it's no use running because they're gonna get you. Boogeymen who seem to stalk a town gets my goat. |
