my relationship with alcohol is very tricky. we go way back and have a complicated relationship and there was a time when i relied on it more than people in my life. but it's not really my friend, ya know, but at the same time i can't imagine my life without it. my father was an alcoholic and i struggle in my own way with it. i haven't spoken to him in 12 years and it's silly, but it also feels like my drinking is the last connection to my father and when i stop he will be gone from my life in every way. i want that, actually, but i'm afraid of it.

i hate that i feel that way. it makes it very hard to ever enjoy having a drink.

pretty lame. is this the getting older thing? lame

Ram, you're a young guy, do you exercise often? You should go running man. Go for an hour run every time before you go to play your drums. It raises endorphins and you'll feel the energy burnt. I've also noticed that if I go for runs and then drink a ton of water and then go out for a few beers later, that I can drink way less and be social and have a good time.

Trying it couldn't hurt right? Better to give that a go first than starting a psychotropic drug regiment

But to presume you know how terrible one can feel for no real reason and that it can't be bad enough to warrant medication unless you are a danger to society is naive.

Also how humans live has change drastically in the past 5-10k years and especially in the past 500 years. You have no idea how people dealt with mental illness in the past - probably a lot more people killed themselves from it or died earlier because they couldn't keep up with their tribe or whatever. But no one knows, so stop pretending it's a good argument

Yeah, I was kinda drunk and almost had borderline heatstroke. I definitely came off like a douche. Perhaps I was just looking for a reaction when I said I was proud of never taking any of those meds. But looking back, I am thankful that I didn't go that route. Of course everyone is different.

I honestly believe it should be a last resort and there's certainly a lot of data to suggest that doctors over-prescribe those meds.

redbreegull 07-19-2018 10:06 PM

this guy actually just blamed acting like a douche on heat stroke

fuzzyroes 07-19-2018 10:09 PM

You're missing the "kinda drunk" part lol

i like when he uses "you gotta admit" before saying something that isn't true.

Cool As Ice Cream 07-20-2018 07:35 AM

nobody can argue that!

Cool As Ice Cream 07-20-2018 07:35 AM

come on, man!

yo soy el mejor 07-21-2018 06:48 AM

you gotta admit, it's the opinion of many experts that saying "you gotta admit" before speaking makes you sound 80% more believable 90% of the time.

Shallowed 07-21-2018 07:24 AM

Here watch this 2 hour Joe Rogan video, they talk all about it.

FoolofaTook 07-21-2018 08:58 AM

i have never see or read anything about alex jones until that video of him harrassing bernie sanders.

fuzzy that man is a belligerent oaf.

LaBelle 07-21-2018 09:17 AM

There are many people worth listening to.
Alex Jones is not one of them.

FoolofaTook 07-21-2018 09:24 AM

30 seconds of watching that clip and it was clear that he's just an overexcited asshole.

Well, that's an incredibly small sample size.

Shallowed 07-21-2018 10:19 PM

It's really not. Anything he does get right is a broken clock being right twice a day thing, except a kindergartner could get those things right too.

fuzzyroes 07-21-2018 10:57 PM

screw you.

Alex predicted the 9/11 attacks and that they would be orchestrated by the United States government in July of 2001

That shit's just incredible.

I'm telling you guys, Alex Jones is the real deal. He's wrong about some stuff, and he seems like he's going extra crazy these days, but the guy knows his shit.

fuzzyroes 07-21-2018 11:05 PM

He's also runs BY FAR the biggest independently run news organization. It's not even close.

You can see these videos from almost 20 years ago and he's built it up up from this small low-budget thing to what it is today, all on the back of his knowledge, reporting and his documentary making... And the major news corporations and the corrupt government employs are shaking in their boots. It's the reason why they're trying to shut him down.

FoolofaTook 07-21-2018 11:07 PM

you got toc hiding out in your basement or something?

Shallowed 07-21-2018 11:10 PM

If fuzzy ever gets banned he'll go hide in TOC's ass.

FoolofaTook 07-21-2018 11:16 PM

mhmm

sexy

fuzzyroes 07-21-2018 11:32 PM

I've been a fan of Alex Jones and his work since 2005.

The mans made a lot of great work and if you took the time to dive deeper into some of his actual work as opposed to making judgments based off of his most sensational moments, then you'd see he helps bring forward a lot of interesting information.

FoolofaTook 07-21-2018 11:35 PM

ok

fuzzyroes 07-21-2018 11:38 PM
