Is Loveless better then SD?

To me they’re pretty different in their intentions, despite having similar sonic palates at times (though Loveless is way more experimental). Siamese Dream is much more on the nose and emotional, and obviously much more aggressive in places.

It depends on what mood I’m in. SD obviously carries more nostalgic weight. Nothing on Loveless can touch tracks like Quiet, Geek and Silverfuck. And nothing on SD compres to several of the songs on Loveless.

If I could only keep one, SD. Loveless may be remembered as a more important album, especially sonically.

My favorite MBV track is actually Who Sees You on mbv

Holy Mountain has incredible songs like Beyond and Holy Mountain, but the production is weak (the songs really come to life live). So no.

Dopesmoker, however, holds a comparable place in my heart as SD.

Film: a dark song

10years: still in education (teacher, counselor, admin maybe)

Dogs as pets 100%. Cats are ok in media, like Beerus in Dragon Ball Super

Fuck pineapple on pizza

what happens when we die?

how strongly do you believe in alien life?

what is the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you?

what is the meanest thing you've ever done to someone?

do you like clowns?

After death? Don’t know and I doubt mankind will ever know, unless we figure out the universe is really is a 4D hologram or something which would be pretty awesome. To me the greatest existential question is why is there anything rather than nothing, which ways on my mind pretty frequently. The typical religious descriptions of afterlives, both positive and negative are pretty hilariously transparent as tools of control. If I had to bet money, I’d say there’s nothing after death; consciousness disappears with brain activity. But again, why and how the fuck is there anything at all? Is there some universal prime mover or architect? Is this being being even aware of itself, or is it more like a machine? Check out an amazing short story by Thomas Ligotti called The Red Tower (free online if you google).

I don’t see why aliens wouldn’t exist if the conditions for life are similar to that of our solar system. Sadly we probably won’t know in our lifetimes, but maybe in the future. Joe Rogan has an interesting theory that as cultures advance, they wouldn’t actually explore deep space but rather turn inward into VR environments that will be perfected to the point where they actually simulate real life, and that’s why we haven’t been contacted by alien life (see Fermi’s Paradox).

Embarrassing? I’ve been prettty lucky. I farted loudly during reading time in 2nd grade. I’ve said some dumb and awkward things to people I didn’t know very well. Swimming trunks came off at a water park but only a couple strangers noticed.

I’ve never done anything really mean. My wife and I both cheated on each other during a long distance thing in college when we were just dating, but we worked it out.

Don’t care for clowns outside of IT and like in old Fellini films. I definitely get why people think they’re creepy as opposed to fun. I think they’re in the process of disappearing from culture honestly, especially with Barnum and Bailey shutting down. Like, millennials aren’t going to be getting birthday clowns for their kids.

So difficult and could change day to day but:

Mulholland Drive (Lynch)
The Big Lebowski (Cohens)
It’s a Wonderful Life (Capra)
Winter Light (Bergman)
The Brave Little Toaster (Rees)
The Secret of Nimh (Bluth)
Vertigo (Hitchcock)
Andrei Rublev (Tarkovsky)
Tokyo Sory (Ozu)
Empire Strikes Back (Kershner)

I adore horror, so it’s unfortunate that a horror film isn’t on the list (though several here have horrific elements)

I love Kurosawa. There are like 50 directors I love who don’t have a film on the list (Kubrick, Scorsese, Linklater, Wes Anderson, Von Trier, PT Anderson, Lucio Fulci, Miyazaki, I could go on and on).

It really depends on what kind of thing you’re in the mood to watch.

Night Elf
Just finished an awesome Skyrim play-through with a Dunmer (Drow/Dark elf)

Undead are awesome in zombie movies

What horror movies from the past fifteen years would you recommend to someone who completely burned themselves out after working in a video store watching every single one under the roof and now dismisses the entire genre as derivative and boring.

Honest question. I used to love horror but I just couldn't do it anymore.

Edinburgh, with a tour of the highlands and Skye, two separate times... fucking magical and indispensable

Dublin... pretty meh honestly

London twice, overwhelmingly huge and incredible

Amsterdam, just for a night, did the red light district thing super stoned (no hooker sex). fun at the time as a college student. Cool city with the canals and stuff

Barcelona... really fucking cool and beautiful, though I got the worst sunburn of my life at Sitges. Probably the best food here. The Segrada de Familia church is almost too cool to exist

Berlin... amazing, would live here. Just something about the city

Paris twice... everything it's hyped up to be and more... would love to live here. Also amazing food, which they take very seriously

Hate? Nah. I did hate the lack of friends. Didn’t really connect closely with anyone at my work, and the one friend I knew from college that moved there was a crazy douche. My wife and I had some great bonding time and found lots of favorite hangout spots, including a bar in West palm (Hullaballoo) that we’ll always cherish.

It was pretty, but the culture was kind of shitty I thought. I also couldn’t stand my job at the TV station and how much it affected my life when a hurricane formed. Didn’t hate it, but 7 tears was waaay to long. We moved back home to TX when we had our baby and I’m very happy here.
