@CAIC - Woluwe Shopping Center

Can you tell me anything about this place? I bought some German synth records from the early 80s today that have a Woluwe sticker on the back cover. The music shop was called Music Square. Just curious if you have any anecdotes about it or something.

The only info I could find online is that it is a shopping mall in Belgium that opened in 1968.

Curious if the shop was a major chain or a local operation. If it still exists, when it existed, if the place was terrible or famous, was it a big shop, etc.

Whenever I find old records with an original store sticker on them I think it's fun to find out information about the store it was sold at.

If you want to argue about it I'd say mid-to-late 70s period is the best because that's when synthesizers became fully defined. Prior to that they were basically glorified organ combos.

Everybody has their preferred era though.

The early 80s stuff is interesting because these pioneers were incorporating digital elements for the first time because the technology was brand new. For example, Klaus Schulze's "Dig It" (1981) is one of the first entirely digital recordings ever made.
