I think there's definitely a spiritual deficit that is prevalent in the United States right now and before that is addressed, nothing will change. Hell, even if you watch the new Archie TV show you can see how twisted the younger generation is... The show is all about murder and how people are out to kill Jughead and shit. It's absolutely absurd, I mean this is ARCHIE we're talking about. The mainstream media has to take some responsibility for the filth they're polluting young minds with. |

I had a weirdo dream last night that some kid was going into a school to shoot it up but someone intercepted him, took the small bag he had, and tossed it to me.
I then went inside the school and shot it up. As I was back outside, having spent all the ammo, I felt in the little bag and all that was left was a roll of quarters. My first thought was, "oh fuck, i can't suicide my way out of this" and my second was a ridiculous pondering about if i would get charged with the shooting because "we technically stopped a school shooter." super bizarre. and this happened before i heard about the j-ville shooting. |

Mass shooting motives are getting weirder. Used to be your standard troubled malcontent misanthropes and right-wing terrorists angry about recent societal changes. Now, we've got a guy who was probably upset he didn't make it to a video game tournament; somebody who was convinced a video-hosting platform was limiting the reach of her fitness contents; and not one, but two bitter incels.
Or maybe the motives were always this weird, but we've just recently began framing them in more specific ways. Most mass shooters, recent and past, seem to share the quality of taking out aggression on strangers because they feel the world owes them something. Who knows, maybe Mack Lépine would have identified as an incel if that was a group identity back then. |
