THE FUZZY SCOOP: Rivers Cuomo got a hair transplant

Anyone else notice this shit? Was clear the guy was going bald like 7 or 8 years ago and now he has this brimming head of hair.

I always think it sucks when these alt-rock grunge heros get cosmetic surgery... It just seems to totally contradict the message and image that they made it famous with.

PHOTO EVIDENCE... THE FUZZY SCOOP EXCLUSIVE:

2011:

A year and a half later:

TODAY:

Oh well... It would be a little weird seeing the boyish Rivers with a bald dome.

reprise85 12-31-2017 09:35 PM

of all cosmetic surgeries, this is one i totally get. i have a friend who did it. made him much happier. it's just hair

fuzzyroes 12-31-2017 09:36 PM

I'm the only one who I saw mention this... I posted about it on reddit and got a whole bunch of "holly smokes, he did didn't he?!" and then a day later Rivers made a twitter post angry about fans on reddit.

reprise85 12-31-2017 09:37 PM

in other news i now know you reddit account name lol

edit: ah i found the account before you said that you posted it on reddit, i swear

life's_a_drag 12-31-2017 09:38 PM

ehhh I dunno... It seems like a weird treatment to undergo. I don't really understand a lot about it, but it seems kinda weird.

Lol, that's cool. I don't really post on reddit all that much anyhow... Only when I'm super bored and there's nothing going on here.

are you going bald?

fuzzyroes 12-31-2017 10:00 PM

No, but my hairline is higher than it used to be for sure.

fuzzyroes 12-31-2017 10:00 PM

I've already decided that if I go bald I'm just gonna rock a skullet.

my friend was seriously balding by the time he was 25. i think when it's that extreme it makes sense to get it fixed, no one wants to be the balding 25 year old. it's not that extreme of a procedure afaik

fuzzyroes 12-31-2017 10:04 PM

It takes a lot of upkeep to maintain it though doesn't it?

reprise85 12-31-2017 10:12 PM

zero maintenance, it grows like regular hair. it is regular hair

fuzzyroes 12-31-2017 10:15 PM

that's crazy, that shit actually grows?

reprise85 12-31-2017 10:26 PM

it's transplanted hair from the back of yo head

qwerty sp 12-31-2017 10:34 PM

It's sewn in?

redbreegull 12-31-2017 10:37 PM

I feel stupider even responding to this thread, but he doesn't look like he is balding to me. He just has a naturally high hairline which has probably receded somewhat as he got older (happens to nearly all men). The only difference I see between the "balding" pictures and the "full head of hair" pictures is the length of his hair. It's longer in the later pictures which covers the high hairline. My hair does the same thing but it's not falling out

smashingjj 12-31-2017 10:43 PM

I feel like deleting this thread

happy new year

not exactly, my understanding is you have follicles there but there is just no hair. so you put the hair in the follicles and it starts growing again. but im not a doctor look it up

FoolofaTook 12-31-2017 10:57 PM

I had no idea this was even like a thing yo. This shit is some straight wizardry. 4 real.

Has nothing to do with the length, but with the actual hairline itself.

Rivers was going noticeably bald during the 2007 tour... But it was from the back out, so it was easily hidden for photo shoots and music videos

Then 2 years later it was clear that it was rapidly receding in the front too

now it looks very good and thick again (nearly 10 years later!!!)

fuzzyroes 12-31-2017 11:00 PM

It's not even exactly about the hairline, it was about how thin it was up front... That's why he had it cut so short, cause if he grew it long it would've just looked stupid.

redbreegull 12-31-2017 11:02 PM

back is obviously balding, not sure why you didn't post that picture first considering if you thought it was falling out from the back forward, none of the original pictures you posted show that at all. the front of his hair just looks like a normal dude in his 30s/40s.

can't wait for you to lose your hair. not sure how your fragile little ego is gonna handle it.

buzzard 12-31-2017 11:10 PM

I saw a thing about a dude that was so torn apart by his lack of chest hair that he elected to have scalp follicles transplanted.

The result, of course, was a pectoral mane with no built-in limit on growing.

I've already determined that, I'm just gonna rock a skullet!:smoke:

besides RBG, I'm not sure you just have a high hairline, in that last photo you posted to Marquis it kinda looks like the beginnings of going bald.

nope. I have a serious widow's peak and I've had it my whole life. My hair has receded a little like any normal dude, but it happened between 16-18 or so.

fuzzyroes 12-31-2017 11:19 PM

what happened to that photo with you and your passport in the Marquis thread? You went back and deleted it? LOL
