I had been baiting him, I’m a real shit sometimes and occasionally he’d show up in a bad mood and I had nothing better to do so i’d poke the bear and watch him fly off the handle.

He tended to say whatever he thought would hurt the most, and my family have somewhat specialised in that as a mode of Everyday communication. So it did sting, but I was surprised that anybody else cared - I think people just latched onto it because they were fed up with him anyway.

Because eulogy, who banned him (if I recall correctly) and then subsequently quit, when people asked for him to be unbanned, said stuff to me that hurt just as much - that I was a pethic and sad lonely loser because I was caring for my kids full time and did t have an ‘actual’ job, stuff like that. Trots did that a lot too. Actually, even pave said stuff like that.

I think that kind of stuff is actually just as toxic and anti-women (given that women perform the bulk of unpaid care-related work in the world...caring for children and elderly parents, or disabled children etc.)

Now that there are more parents at netphoria the attitude toward mothers has mellowed significantly.

I see both sides of the argument clearly, but run2me is right that this entire place was different, and things were understood in a different light. But there are always lines to be crossed, and consequences for it. I miss the good side, and there definitely was one.
