Green Day are selling a package with a boomobox and their discography on cassette
This is actually one of the cooler packages that I've seen a band offer.
You get all of their releases on cassette and this official Green Day old school looking boom box. ![]() ![]() The whole set sells for 250$ which is pretty crazy. But it's a one of a kind collectable because I believe Warning was their last album that was issued on cassette and with this you get all the subsequent releases offered in the format for the first time. Definitely something that appeals to the completist GD collector. Ahhh the memories. I remember when I was a kid I had their 2 Lookout Records releases on cassette before Warner bought the rights. I gave all my cassettes to my buddy when I got a CD player... It's too bad, those cassettes now fetch an arm and a leg. |
Ahh at closer inspection it's not even an official boombox. They just give you a sticker sheet to customize the boombox with.
Still a pretty rad way to offer a box-set. |
fuckkkk I'm starting to feel like CW
|
Your mom is selling her package.
|
don't fucking talk about my mom *says in angry guy teenager voice*
|
I remember when Yo Mama! jokes were all the rage that one of my good buddy's would say that every single time someone did it to him. It started being a joke to our whole circle
|
thx

That's actually not an insane price for 13 tapes and a box. Where's the catch?

Maybe you and elph can go halfsies on it.
|
in the 80s i had a literal suitcase filled with cassettes that i kept in the back of my car. It held 300 tapes. It seemed fantastic to be able to record all my music from vinyl or CD and have it in my car or for my walk man.
also had something like this in my first couple of cars ![]() this was my first car ![]() |
Green Day

|
John Lydon released a box set like this too with a laughable price so

Something like this exists just to part fools and their money. The only reason one should own this is because they received it as a gift.

It's hard to understand the impact of Green Day if you weren't actually observing them once they broke. Green Day from about 94-98 was awesome and really breathed a fresh energy into a sputtering grunge landscape. |
I mean they break out with Dookie and then in the next year Insomniacs rolled out. That was a fucking awesome sequence in such a short period of time.

I mean in theory you would think it should kick ass. What'd you think of it? |
