A lot of them believe that Planned Parenthood is inherently racist, because Margaret Sanger was basically a eugenicist, and because women of colour are by far the most likely to seek abortions and if Planned Parenthood was really serious about addressing those statistics they would have made some impact on them by now.

They also believe that Planned Parenthood is a business that trades in fetal tissue.

I don't agree with any of this (though I'm always open to different points of view) but for people I know, they felt there were tangibly antiracist reasons to vote for the anti-abortion party.

So even if his rhetoric was racist - they believed Republican party policies, would be less so, than Clinton's.

And Clinton's policies, while not overtly racist, would have a negative outcome for the poorest in the country, where people of colour are over-represented.

She's enough of a politician to choose her rhetoric carefully, and a great diplomat, but she's no friend of people of colour. Her record shows she has greater sympathy for wall street, fossil energy retailers and arms manufacturers, than she does for the black family living in poverty, whose male parent can't find work and turns to drugs, or worse, and whose female parent can't afford contraception, and whose children are bounced from rental to rental as their parents get evicted for non-payment over and over, before the male parent is busted and sent to prison, where he'll work for 14c an hour (or whatever slave wage it is).

They didn't see it as "well this one's OK with everything else, but pro-abortion" vs. "this one is racist and sexist but anti-abortion"

A lot of people who criticise Trump for his mischaracterisations of others, and his invalid generalisations, and dehumanising rhetoric...fall into the same kind of behaviour when imagining people who voted for Trump.

Lol, Trump is corrupt as shit. He's the first president to go into the White House with as many lawsuits against him as he has. He currently owes billions to a bank that also happens to owe money to the Department of Justice (lets see how that turns out). His "university" is in litigation for scamming its customers. Instead of putting his business interests in a blind trust to prevent conflict of interest, he's just handing them over to his kids. The same kids who are currently on his transition team. The same kids he's trying to get security clearance for even though they aren't national security experts or anything.

Chris Christie is corrupt, too, but if the reason Trump fired him had much to do with being "appalled" by Bridgegate, he would had fired him a while ago. It's more likely that it's bad blood over Christie convicting Jared Kushner's dad.

Yes, the DNC was unfair to Sanders. All the emails that revealed that were dated from after it would had been impossible for Sanders to win, anyway. Sanders had already essentially lost in April. All the emails are from May.

It's awful that CNN leaked some debate questions to Clinton early, and I'm glad that the person responsible (at least one of them) was fired. However, it's not like Trump didn't do the same during debates. Megyn Kelly says that Trump contacted her angry that he heard that one of her questions for him was about his treatment of women.

The Clinton Foundation got money from Saudi Arabia when Clinton was in the State Department. Sure, that's unpalatable. The Trump Foundation, on the other hand, is barely even a charity, it's just a front for Trump to funnel money into his own pockets, settle his legal disputes, and make him look like a philanthropist. He's gotten into legal trouble over this.

Trump never released his tax returns, and we have no idea what a lot of his foreign business holdings (won't be surprised if he's taken loans from Russian oligarchs). We know he's lied about his net worth several times. That's probably why he doesn't want to release the returns: when he exits the White House a billionaire because of the investments he had his children make with his companies when he's controlling fiscal and monetary policy, he can pretend he was a billionaire the entire time.

Both Clinton and Trump are elites who can take advantage of the system and enrich themselves. But Trump is not only a crook, but his actual policies are pure shit (fucking the environment, and even if you don't like immigrants, mass deportations and building a wall are both expensive policies, and whatever burden illegal immigrants pose on the economy, if any at all, does not even weigh close to these costs). I don't see how he could be the "lesser of two evils" by any rational calculation. Unless one doesn't care about real issues at all only cares about empty symbolic issues of identity and nationalism.
