I mentioned Bob's Burgers off-hand a few months back and got lectured by somebody here for it. Something about "the turds people will swallow to fit in." Like, it didn't occur to the idiot that people might choose their entertainment because it speaks to them personally, and not because it makes a statement to their peers about who they are as a person.

Bob's Burgers is a great show and I don't care what anyone thinks. It manages what I thought couldn't be done again since the glory days of The Simpsons: a family friendly (no horrific violence like so many others) cartoon show with its own "feel" (as in, it is unique) and fresh jokes. And no racism and sexism (at least in any way offensive to me). My fav show these days hand down.

It definitely does have an early Simpsons vibe and uniqueness to it. I just hope they don't overstay their welcome in the same way.
