That poor child - and, to a lesser extent, that poor girl. A 22-year-old is an adult, so I don't think the age difference would be so concerning if Billy were a well-adjusted individual. But he isn't. We all know he's a petty, manipulative, vengeful person, and by now he has a lot of experience being one.

I'm not even saying I don't have sympathy for him. He clearly went through a lot of bad experiences as a child, and people like him often need love and support to try and change all the damaging behavioral patterns that they've learned. But no one's ever managed to stay with him for very long, probably because his behavior was too harmful. In short, this is a whole lot of baggage for a girl half his age to carry, and I can't see it being healthy for a child either.
