The Internet is a public utility and should be treated/governed as one. To believe otherwise ignores the fact the Internet is the basis of nearly all communication in the world.

If Obama was against NN the bulk of American conservatives would be whole heartedly for it.

this was for years something that was considered necessary by many of those who leaned libertarian and conservative. It simply wasn't controversial amongst conservatives. But now because of the black president it's evil.
