Better Call Saul
First episode was alright. Solid B. This could be good or terrible, I can't tell yet.
|
yeh it was alright
|
Bsg is better and you haven't watched it
|
ooh i wanna see this
|
Gilligan is still writing this right?
i think i'm gonna wait until there's a bunch of episodes to binge on |
honestly i was pretty blown away... didn't expect this to be near as good as it was (well, if the pilot is anything to go by. still too early). ever since they announced a spinoff i had a bad feeling about it, especially when i found out it'd take a more serious tone than originally conceived. but they pulled it off
dat vince gilligan magick |
I just realised this is a breaking bad spinoff.
I wondered why they seemed to want to advertise it so much (i never watched BB..and at this point don't care to since i've been spoilt everything) |
the second episode was great. i bet bob odinkirk never thought he'd have lead role in something like this
|
i hadn't read much about it but for some reason i expect some stupid like case of the week hijinks. like his actual trials would be the focus of the show or something. this is much better.
|
he was pretty good in Nebraska too. small role but good movie.. up on netflix
|
Seen Ep 1 but not 2
A littttttle disappointed it ended with a BB tie in so quickly, but I trust Gilligan. Watching the second one tonight. |

and i thought that's probably what they should do since saul was so goofy he almost didn't even belong on bb.. but seems like they found the right balance. |
it's pretty much met my expectations. more saul isn't a bad thing, since odinkirk never fails to entertain. and i'm happy to be back in albuquerque. i missed seeing it ever since BB ended
|
Second episode I thought was a blast.
It's no Breaking Bad, but this series seem to be on track to deliver some good fun. |
Unimpressed by the first episode, but the second one was good. Promising but not great yet. Specially when you consider Breaking Bad's first episode...
I'm catching up with Fargo now and I guess it's more Odenkirk than I planned on watching. |
So far I like it. I was never into Breaking Bad so I probably won't get any of the references but I love Bob Odenkirk.
|
really enjoying it
2nd better than 1st so glad they did this |
I need to watch Breaking Bad, haven't seen an episode.
|
bb is very good -- 5 or 6 eps are in the mindblowing category and highly rewatchable
the story arc is excellent |
i'd thought since before the premiere it was going to be on every sunday and not monday, but nope, looked at the tv guide today to find stupid fucking the walking dead and talking dead there instead
guess i'll be tuning in tomorrow, along with everyone else |
This show is already excellent.
|
I think as this show progresses I'm actually enjoying it more then Breaking Bad.
|
I thought last weeks episode was meh but this one was great. So far very entertaining.
|
I think each episode has been an improvement on the last, tbh
|
yeah, agreed. though last episode was acrophobia-inducing and made me look away.
|
Every time I see Bob's face I think of him dancing with a golf club as the president of the USA in the "change for a dollar" sketch from Mr. Show.
I wish I was better at the internet so I could post a kickass GIF of this b/c it just might be the most sublime moment of comedic tv I've ever seen. |
Tuco felt shoehorned in, in the same way Chewbacca felt forced into Star Wars III. That's my only gripe though, it's been increasingly excellent.

really loving this show. amc redeemed |
That's a good point. BB Season 1 had the klepto plotline.
Vince Gilligan has another show starting on March 1st on CBS. Not the same BB team of writers and producers like Better Call Saul, but I'm really interested in it now |
this thread title keeps reminding me of a song. i'm finally gonna listen to it.
