Well its only the best sport. I know people say that about every sport they love but with hockey its actually true, any other answer is wrong. It combines the violence of american football, the tactics of football/soccer (plus the goalie thing) and the speed of hmm...well nothing else really. And unlike soccer it has just enough goals to keep it from ever getting too boring score wise.

There's going to be some experimentation for a while, which is what I'd want to see. Whatever makes them more effective in the playoffs. Shit's gonna get real.

i started playing and watching hockey in 1990 when i was six. messier led the oilers to the cup and became my hero and he was traded to the rangers in '91. so, in summation i'm pretty much a bandwagon fan.

oilers are still my second favourite team, though, and i'm going to see them play at msg on sunday.

I might have said this before but i got SO into the 1994 Rangers vs Vancouver playoffs. Rooting for the canadian team of course. I kinda hated the rangers for years after that. AND specifically Messier's smile. Go choke on some lay's you motherfucker!

Ah well.... Now of course i don't care, rangers are alright.
