Mooney is right but i spent years focusing on a proper th sound. But half the time i still don't do it right. I am told i have an uncommon accent that is not particularly french canadian (or french). I've been asked "what i was" before. My gf says its unlike any she's heard at least from french speaking people. I like to think i'm just making a decent effort unlike most.

But I hate that the french STILL teach th like a french Z. It's nothing like that you idiots. but it is not a sound that a "french tongue" learns to do naturally. The th sound is by far the hardest to learn for a native french speaker speaking english. I think the french just tried to do away with that issue without having to really try by pretending z works.
