plus...only recently he said that mild pedophilia like 'a bit of touching up' wasn't as bad as more serious and repeated pedophilia, but that obviously did not mean that he was saying that mild pedophilia wasn't bad and you'd basically have to be an idiot to think that he was saying that.

So that's basically the opposite of what he's doing here...where he is comparing the two and implying that because one thing isn't as bad as the other, it isn't bad, and you'd have to be an idiot to think that it was.
