pumpkin lobster bisque

Elphenor 07-17-2014 03:49 AM

I just ate some shitty food and now I feel like shit.

Dried fruit, BBQ frozen Pizza, and like a half a gallon of orange juice.

Elphenor 07-17-2014 03:52 AM

No pulp in the orange juice for the same reason I don't like soup

ilikeplanets 07-17-2014 03:35 PM

I used to hate pulp in OJ but now I actually like it better. Meh

Trotskilicious 07-18-2014 02:55 AM

i don't understand why it makes a difference and an example of post-industrial consumer idiocy is the fact that we have THREE CHOICES OF PULP LEVEL

HOLY FUCK DO YOU KNOW FORTUNATE YOU ARE TO BE ABLE TO BE ABLE TO BUY ORANGE JUICE FROM A REFRIGERATED COOLER

yo soy el mejor 07-18-2014 07:35 AM

dawg, do you realize the myriad of things we take for granted? i wouldn't give them a hard time over orange juice pulp content... except for elphenor and ilp being total nitwits.

as for me, i prefer no pulp, but i love to eat oranges. kinda like how i detest tomatoes, but love to eat tomato soup. my palate is crazy.

ohnoitsbonnie 07-19-2014 01:28 AM

Soup is just a dish with more water. Nothing wrong with that. I've listened to a lot of NPR programs on soup. It's one thing that could potentially bring us all together.

Trotskilicious 07-19-2014 01:54 AM

i can't help it i can never get over "i hate tomatos but tomato soup is the shit"

"I have a preference of pulp level"

ilikeplanets 07-19-2014 02:01 AM

That is one weird pet peeve

ilikeplanets 07-19-2014 02:02 AM

Is it also wrong to have a favorite kind of apple? Mine is Golden Delicious

Trotskilicious 07-19-2014 02:17 AM

not eating tomatoes and wanting tomato soup is the definition or ridiculous!

hnibos 07-19-2014 10:07 AM

Not really, the texture of a tomato when you bite into it is off putting for some.

Yes. Apples are the worst.

null123 07-19-2014 06:03 PM

Cooked tomatoes and raw tomatoes are almost categorically different things.

Trotskilicious 07-20-2014 02:18 AM

i just can't even

Yeah man I think about this shit all the time. Another one is flavored cream cheese.

killtrocity 07-20-2014 02:46 AM

I work with a bunch of picky eaters and by "picky" I mean they will throw out food. Like, I'm not a big fan of pickles, but if they're on a sandwich, I'm not going to take them off and throw them out. It's calories, it's money.

Trotskilicious 07-20-2014 02:52 AM

we're in the significant minority i guess

i dunno what your deal is with flavored cream cheese, i like the onion ones. fruit not so much. then again if i get a bagel, and there's blueberry cream cheese i'm going to eat it

if i get a blueberry bagel and there's no cream cheese i'll eat it

my preference is onion bagels with green onion and thing cream cheese but you know it's not the biggest deal in the world i mean jesus i get a preference? how lucky is that?

null123 07-20-2014 04:23 AM

If you eat for anything more than your most basic nutritional needs you are technically indulging anyway, who cares that you're indiscriminate about how you stuff your face.

Trotskilicious 07-20-2014 04:53 AM

those two things do not relate

isn't this about not eating basic nutritional needs because you don't like the texture or something

null123 07-20-2014 04:59 AM

Pretty sure no one is missing out on nutrition when they refuse to drink orange juice with pulp.

It seemed you were suggesting it was self-indulgent to be selective about what one eats. Obviously there is a line that can be crossed, but ordinary food preferences are hardly the province of the rich or selfish. And eating something solely to avoid throwing it away is excessive as well.

Trotskilicious 07-20-2014 05:10 AM

oh i've argued this so much on this board it's basically rote, just do whatever it really doesn't matter i'm a big ole fat lard bucket of shit anyway what do i know

Trotskilicious 07-20-2014 05:11 AM

i quit smoking i could probably quit eating shit all the time, too

You may as well give up laughing and smiling while you're at it.

Trotskilicious 07-20-2014 06:45 PM

i'm really fucking fat dude, after quitting smoking i gained weight like a lot of people do and now i can't even get into XL shirts

i think laughing and smiling are being compromised by my self consciousness about my weight

Bread Regal 07-20-2014 07:02 PM

having issues with overeating always seemed like an especially shitty hand to draw in life. like, the thing you do in excess is also a thing that is inextricably linked to your survival. i imagine taht telling an overeater to limit themselves to 1500 calories a day is like telling an alcoholic to limit themselves to 2 glasses of wine per meal.

Trotskilicious 07-20-2014 07:35 PM

i dunno about all of that

i'm supposed to go to some kind of work outing and i've tried on four shirts so far and none of them fit my fat ass, jesus.

yo soy el mejor 07-20-2014 07:39 PM

do you know how fortunate you are to have four choices of shirts? sucks they don't fit though. :s

Trotskilicious 07-20-2014 07:40 PM

i know very well how fortunate i am, but i'm such a hog it makes it moot

MusicMan4 07-20-2014 07:43 PM

i probably will never fit into an xl shirt again
