Need Germany to tie Portugal, dammit. Or lose.

Portugal's clearly worse and I'd rather the US advance with them than the Germans.

juliana 06-16-2014 12:40 PM

Wow, I actually now feel sorry for ronaldo now. He deserves a better team.

sppunk 06-16-2014 12:45 PM

Good job Pepe!

He's suspending for America too hahahah.

Germany is advancing. You want Portugal to get blown out to help any goal difference with USA. Germany needs to win by as much as possible.

duovamp 06-16-2014 12:47 PM

This is my nightmare.

But best case is Germany doesn't advance.

Well unless they catch the plague that's not happening.

Germany's awesome, fuck you.

duovamp 06-16-2014 12:55 PM

Again, that would not be the best case for the US.

juliana 06-16-2014 01:03 PM

The german coach reminds me of Dr. Oz.

The best case for the US is Brazil, Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal and Ghana drop out.

Yeah, and like 9 others.

Mo 06-16-2014 01:36 PM

He could/should have given that penalty, but I'm always glad to see a pissed off Cristiano Ronaldo.

Trotskilicious 06-16-2014 01:40 PM

i mean didn't i say earlier that Portugal is the soccer equivalent of the miami heat

the best player in the world! (and a couple washed up old guys and a bunch of scrubs)

juliana 06-16-2014 01:54 PM

Portugal always has so much hype, people brag about this team. They are always garbage and today more than usual. Poor Ronaldo, I actually feel sorry for him.

People were talking about how they could win this year, they say that EVERY FOUR YEARS.

duovamp 06-16-2014 02:00 PM

This is why I want them to advance over Germany, people. :(

sppunk 06-16-2014 02:13 PM

America has won before even stepping on the pitch.

duovamp 06-16-2014 03:03 PM

Go... Iran?

Trotskilicious 06-16-2014 03:20 PM

WHY DO YOU HATE AMERICA, DUO

duovamp 06-16-2014 04:44 PM

Trotskilicious 06-16-2014 04:55 PM

Who are these people? I've never heard anyone tip Portugal to win the World Cup, even in Portugal I doubt they have any belief in their chances to better teams like Spain, Brazil or Italy in a tournament situation.

They had a very strong group of players like 7-8 years ago (Luis Figo, Deco et al), but even then were rarely ever tipped as World Cup winners. Ever since, they have Ronaldo and little else... will still fancy their chances to get through this group though.

The large population of Portuguese where I live etc. As soon as they lose they put on their Brazil jerseys and pretend they are from there.

Yeah same here. I'm in the portuguese neighborhood of montreal. I mean sure some of the people living around here are actually from brazil but most are Portuguese. I still wouldn't say the enthusiasm is quite the same though.

sppunk 06-16-2014 06:02 PM

DEMPSEY!!!

sppunk 06-16-2014 06:13 PM

Quickest goal in U.S. WC history.

Now hang on for 89 minutes +.
