speaking of creationism, there was a live broadcast tonight from the creationist museum of a debate featuring bill nye the science guy vs ken ham
its going to be hosted for the next few days apparently - next broadcast in 13 minutes http://debatelive.org/ |
like, 3/5 isn't a compromise. at all.
we'd like our subhuman negro servants to be counted in the census. also, they shouldn't be allowed to vote. |
well they do own them after all
that is literally mentioned in the first post in this thread
fucking margin
fucking fuck
i would say something about how ken ham has some good ideas and i can see both sides of it but i'd rather leave it to order66
my biggest problem with the thing was when ken tried to define "literally" as "naturally" towards the end. i was like hold up son what.
it was fun watching good-natured bow tie smiles man suddenly pounce on ken ham during the rebuttals stage.
i think the entire room got chills when it happened - when it suddenly turned aggressive also everybody laffed at kens jokes but not at bills yet bill got the biggest applause? |
ken ham probably spent like 20k on hookers and blow after that debate.
not much else out there to do inthe middle of a snowstorm all the hooker and blow stores probably shut down too
also bill nye is like a slightly drunk david byrne
i got a little depressed after watching it tonight because ham's entire postition rested on "how do you know? you weren't there. but the babble says"
sad that bill nye is now explaining basic science to grown ups
i also just realized i've been listened to that dramatic theme music all night in another, still open browser
turning it off is like coming down |

you cannot argue with faith. you just can't. |
the sad part to me is that someone like ken is trying to define an absolute timetable of earth based off of the bible and honestly that's just ridiculous - god or no god.
a big problem is that people conflate two very distinct definitions of "faith". There's believing something will happen because that is consistent with evidence (this chair will support my weight because chairs are designed for that purpose, also i am not fat), and there's beliving something in spite of the lack of evidence (belief in god).
the creationists equate the acceptance of scientific theories to a belief in god, and they just aren't the same. at all. in any capacity. |
God keeps my chair from breaking be cause in His Infinite Wisdom he has seen that i shall be fat and spread across the earth
