Rule 2: can't use your hands to do it
rule 3: don't be a fuckin dick

Trotskilicious 02-10-2014 01:19 AM

rule 4: if the ball goes out on the sides, it is a turnover and you get to throw it in
rule 5: if the ball goes out the back, if its on the attack then it is a turnover and goal kick. if it is on the defender then a spot kick will be taken at the corner by the attack
rule 6: 11 men including the goalkeeper per side
rule 7: goalkeeper can use hands
rule 8: visitor will kick off to start game, home will kick off to start second half (or the other way around)
rule 9: seriously don't be a dick

Bread Regal 02-10-2014 01:20 AM

i always have to watch hand egg when hanging out with the in-laws so i spend most of the time asking about obscure scenarios like the onside kick, multiple passes per play etc.

so i asked "what does someone have to do to to get kicked out of a game?"
"basically, throw a punch"
"so do they have to play a man down the rest of the game?"
"no"

what the fuck is the point of that i mean really.

you mean the locker room culture of richie incognito yeah it would be pretty hard to deal with a gay dude swaggin all over the place "I AM AN OPENLY PROUD GAY MAN"

guy is a boss, and already just took this inconceivably vast mantle of LEADER onto his shoulders voluntarily.

The Omega Concern 02-20-2014 10:47 PM

this will have the typical athletic Talent/Tolerant level among teammates. Doesn't matter really what a guy does, if he can help you win, you'll tolerate lots of shit, even a gay man in the locker room if the man can play.

He should be careful of Tebowing himself however. If he becomes too much of a leader of some social cause, then coaches and owners have to deal with how one player is taking focus from the team. Tebow is plenty good enough to be someones backup somewhere in the NFL, but it comes with 30,000 devotees screaming for him to start. Tebow embraced all that and it kinda backfired on him.

but if Sam can ball out like Patrick Willis or something, he'll be fine with whatever off-field stuff.

duovamp 02-20-2014 10:58 PM

Urry other team too pussy to draft him. Calling Stillers draft him.

duovamp 02-20-2014 10:58 PM

SWAG ME OUT.

Trotskilicious 02-21-2014 01:33 AM

Omega has a point, broken clock etc, being openly gay at this stage in his career and being provokative of it, in the tebow self promoting way, would sink him. However, with success, he has a moral resposibility to carry the flag and be pro active politically. It a tight rope to walk...cue janelle monae

The other thing i wonder is that collins came out because he knew his career was over. He got lots of kudos even from superstars like bronbron and ol steve nash. Are nfl players voicing their support of gay jackie robinson?

Eulogy 02-21-2014 08:02 AM

he has already made a point of saying that he is not going to do pride parades or really be any sort of advocate for the time being. his being gay and being decent at football is more important than all that anyway. and it's dumb but it's probably a good idea to insulate yourself from the "omg distraction" bullshit. which coming out so far ahead of the draft seems to have done. no one really cares anymore. and when he goes in the 6th round i honestly don't think it will be that noteworthy.

we'll see though.

duovamp 02-21-2014 12:02 PM

I think he'd make a good cheerleader same as that Jonathan Martin pussy.

Trotskilicious 02-21-2014 12:59 PM

i thought he was a top 20 pick

duovamp 02-21-2014 02:07 PM

Was he?

I mean as hard as predicting drafts go, I dunno about that. Clearly he's an excellent defensive player, but does he fit into the needs and scheme of the first 20 picks? Just as a player, where should he go? I didn't see him play so I don't have any clue. If he's as good as his stats and awards, then he might be a first or second round pick. I'm 100% certain that calls will be made to draft him no matter what. He won't go undrafted. It'd be a colossal mistake if Goodell didn't find a way to pull strings and make sure of it.

Not sure who would get him, but if he falls out to the last two rounds, he'd be a hell of a valuable draft at that spot.

Trotskilicious 02-21-2014 07:43 PM

that's just what i heard i'm kind of over american football at this point

the miami locker room
the reaction to this
the head hunting
the fantasy sports writers complaining about how the nfl is being turned into a game for "wusses"
all the whining about how the game's gotten "softer"

like seriously fuck this moron john wayne sport

Eulogy 02-21-2014 07:44 PM

he was never going to go before the third round. projected as anywhere from third to sixth or seventh or something. definitely never top 20.

Eulogy 02-21-2014 07:45 PM

too small to play DE in the NFL, has never actually played LB.

Trotskilicious 02-21-2014 07:45 PM

i can't believe you'd be sitting there, thinking up what to write about on your fantasy football column on yahoo and you'd complain about the "wussification" of the NFL without any sense of self-awareness whatsoever

all of them are pasty, pencil necked dweebs or they are huge fat guys drinking 88oz slurpees. I mean you want to talk about a bunch of wusses, lets talk about fantasy "experts"

Mel Kiper projects him to be a 3rd to 5th rounder.

The Omega Concern 02-22-2014 03:47 PM

NFL has bigger issues atm....like, Big Brother Thought Police creeping in...

NFL to penalize use of racial slur

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10...al-slurs-games

Quote:

The head of the Fritz Pollard Alliance, which monitors diversity in the NFL, expects the league to institute a rule where players would be penalized 15 yards for using the N-word on the field.

Fritz Pollard Diversity group which monitors the NFL eh? So, hack liberal sociologist bent on making the world right in their eyes.

If this Utopian ideal wasn't ridiculous enough, there's this:

Quote:

Ozzie Newsome also said the committee talked about other slurs coming under any possible new rule, including homophobic slurs.

Wooten, who previously has urged all players to stop using the N-word, thinks the NFL will rule an automatic 15-yard penalty for first-time offenders and an ejection for second infractions.

"I will be totally shocked if the competition committee does not uphold us on what we're trying to do," Wooten said, according to CBSSports.com. "We want this word to be policed from the parking lot to the equipment room to the locker room
.

Because Liberal Utopians are never happy with getting what they want, they always need more. 15 yards on the field doesn't cut it, policing it from the "parking lot to the equipment room to the locker room" is their goal. You think these Liberal yahoo's want these types of rules only in the NFL, lol, think again.

Goodell's doing a decent job of making this sport extinct in a generation or two.

duovamp 02-22-2014 06:59 PM

Well the NFL basically has a completely shit image right now. They need to update it and clean it up. And I'm absolutely not talking one bit about the "scary black person" part of the NFL. I'm talking about the EVERYTHING ELSE.

i love lions fans

if you're counting at home, 2008 was the year they went 0-16

it says "rebuilding since 1957" on the bottom

which is not true they were pretty good with b sanders and herman moore (one of the most underrated wideouts in history)
