On the night of December 23, 1987, Sixx was declared dead after an overdose, only to be revived by paramedics with two adrenaline shots to the heart (this incident was the inspiration for the song 'Kickstart my Heart'). In an interview, Sixx states that after he was declared dead, the ambulance arrived, but one of the paramedics in the ambulance was a Motley Crüe fan. Apparently, the paramedic took one look at me and said, 'He's not gonna die.'

slunken 01-30-2014 09:25 PM

The song also became an anthem for ampthetamine use.

Theres plenty of cool hair-metal littered throughout all the shit out there.

I know Warrant generally sucks ass, but this song rocks:rockon:

SkidRows first album was pretty kick ass too. I mean, how can you not dig 18 and life? Songs still powerful and kick-ass today.

The 80's were awesome. Though it's not hair-metal, the Best 80's song is this:

Gotta love John Stamos fucking rocking the steel drums :rock_on:

Crue is an iconic band that deserves a place in the history of rock. I'm sorry that this thread isn't about one of your hipster bands. But there are lots of hipster band threads on the boards for you to enjoy.

MyOneAndOnly 01-31-2014 02:57 PM

you don't have to like something to not be a dick head about it
