mxzombie 01-06-2014 04:47 PM

it sucks having landlord controlled heat right now. we walked a couple blocks to the store earlier and my nose hairs were freezing together. i was getting brain freeze from breathing. this is inhumane

Hardly anyone is outside, taking the dog for a walk feels like exploring ghost town.

it was 81 degrees during my lunch break this afternoon, I took a nice walk in the breezy sunshine

Eulogy 01-06-2014 06:01 PM

i found out i was able to work from home last night at about 8:30. that was a relief.

we may venture out to get a humidifier. it's so fucking dry in our bedroom i can't speak or swallow when i wake up in the morning.

Eulogy 01-06-2014 07:35 PM

ventured out for the humidifier. side streets are still a fucking mess. definitely gonna have to go to work tomorrow. should be, uh... interesting? hopefully the car starts?

Eulogy 01-06-2014 07:37 PM

Order 66 01-06-2014 08:50 PM

the worst i'll have to deal with is about 30 degrees

i know that's nothing for alot of people but i don't think i'll be able to make it out of bed tomorrow. much less shower.

it's gonna be in the 30s on friday and i plan on like, wearing shorts and drinking outside.

Eulogy 01-06-2014 08:51 PM

not actually wearing shorts but you get the idea

duovamp 01-06-2014 08:57 PM

My car said it was a balmy 2 degrees on the way home. I won't be outside, but I'm defs gonna have a peach daiquiri after I finish these chocolate covered pretzels. Don't judge me.

Order 66 01-06-2014 09:04 PM

this weather just really fucks with my head. i can't even go downstairs to my apartment's gym.. i guess thats what i get for living in texas all my life

my car says it's down to 25 now (i don't know how accurate that is) and tomorrow is supposed to be worse so i guess this will be my ultimate test as a man

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 09:07 PM

isn't that the tempature when your dick freezes and falls off

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 09:09 PM

i think 100 degree days over the summer are miserable but at least it's not dangerous for me to drive when it hasn't rained in three months and the heat index is 114

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 09:10 PM

five in a row see ya DOGGGGGGGGGGGGS

the cost is included in my rent because the apartments in my building aren't metered separately. it's supposed to be kept at a minimum temperature but it doesn't actually happen that way because the windows are shitty and we're on the top floor of the building

sppunk 01-06-2014 10:27 PM

These 45 mph wind gusts are awesome, making the wind chill around -25. I went for a little walk, you indeed feel your nose hair freeze. I took my gloves off and you can feel the skin get tight. Pretty neat stuff.

Please don't burst, pipes.

I really hope the pipes burst or freeze at work and the toilets don't work and I have to send everyone home or wallow in feces all day.

Chicago probably sucks a bit more than where I am because of the lake

redbreegull 01-07-2014 04:48 PM

it might be windier but a large body of water like that would act as a temperature moderator

reprise85 01-08-2014 02:39 AM

It's like 50 here and raining and it sort of sucks

not sure how you guys deal with the cold all winter.

when i lived in louisiana it was below freezing most winter nights and many days and i could barely stand even that

florida 4 lyfe

Starla 01-08-2014 04:13 AM

It's nice and warm here at 22 degrees. This is nice in comparison to what we had a few weeks ago.
