2002 netphoria... speaks for itself

Toast 01-05-2014 04:22 PM

What happened to the Jew who ran into a wall with a raging boner?

He broke his nose.

sppunk 01-05-2014 04:58 PM

Crappy board software, most likely.

Shallowed 01-06-2014 06:02 AM

Racist jokes are okay, but if you wanna say cock or cunt you gotta get around it with changing some of the letters and putting spaces in between them.

Eulogy 01-06-2014 11:19 AM

Bump this thread the next time someone says they long for the glory days of early netphoria

Bread Regal 01-06-2014 11:26 AM

i love that i was a sanctimonious little shit even back then.

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 11:27 AM

i'm glad i didn't participate in that thread

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 11:28 AM

mayfuck champion of the underclass is all up on that shit though

Bread Regal 01-06-2014 11:32 AM

that's not really a racist joke, though.

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 01:36 PM

to be fair, the "superhuman archetype" is physically unfair to both men & women

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 01:37 PM

of course superheroines in heels always hilarious

it's sad when i'm excited about a dr. who episode involving a female cat burglar because she's wearing boots with flat soles because that's logical

duovamp 01-06-2014 02:28 PM

It was archived by forward-thinking minds to identify and vilify those among you who were both ignorant enough to add to such a thread, and who were too cowardly stand up against them.

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 02:54 PM

seriously though how exactly does a woman rape a man exactly speaking

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 02:54 PM

i mean it would still be rape if she's forcing herself on you and pushin rope

Bread Regal 01-06-2014 03:12 PM

well there's statutory rape

men can get so intoxicated that they might consent to something they wouldn't otherwise.

Bread Regal 01-06-2014 03:15 PM

this is weird though

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 03:16 PM

it's real weird and very unpleasant

i think we can both agree that it's very rare based on the nature of sex and i don't think Charlize Theron is going OMG LUCKY GUY

Bread Regal 01-06-2014 03:21 PM

i wouldn't call it "very rare" but not nearly as common as the other way around.

there are other non-forcible methods of cercion too.

Bread Regal 01-06-2014 03:26 PM

I would categorize what Bill Clinton did as rape.

Bread Regal 01-06-2014 03:28 PM

And if HIllary did the same thing to a 23-year old male white house intern, I'd think the same thing.

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 03:41 PM

why, because of the inappropriate power relationship, even if it was consensual it wasn't rationally consensual because the POTUS is asking if he can put a cigar in your wet snatch not some random dude

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 03:42 PM

double standers are no good for your self of steam

Definitely less common than men raping women, but bread regal has a point in that our cultural sensibilities about rape in 2013 allow for a definition that includes a lot more than one person holding another down. Many say that having sex with a drunk person is an act of rape because consent can not be given if a person is impaired. Without delving into whether this is the correct or best way to define rape, probably most of the males here have been "raped," in that they have had sex acts performed on them while they have been intoxicated. Now whether both parties are raping each other if they are both impaired, or if the burden falls solely on males to not engage in drunk sex, or if the less inebriated partner is the one guilty of rape... these are all valid questions that effectively turn into a huge clusterfuck when you try to sort through them for a definitive moral answer.

tldr: rape can easily happen and does frequently happen to men when we apply the strictest scrutiny to the idea of consent

the general manager where i worked tried to get with me.

slunken 01-06-2014 05:16 PM

Same thing right?

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 05:40 PM

it is similar, actually

Eulogy 01-06-2014 06:03 PM

a boner does not equal consent

yeah

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 06:11 PM

it's not the same because we're talking about the lord and master of the american government compared to a guy who is barely in command of a TGI Fridays

similar not the same

Bread Regal 01-06-2014 06:14 PM

the power differential is different, but they areequally objectionable.

slunken 01-06-2014 06:23 PM

i'm certainly not trying to argue what is or what is not rape but a lot of it has to do with "assumed power", to me.

what about the classic scenario of moving to a new town to start a job, having a one-night stand, and then finding out the next day that that person is your new boss. is it rape if you continue the relationship or is it okay because you met on equal grounds?

slunken 01-06-2014 06:24 PM

or in my case what if i always disregarded the authority of my GM and just saw her as a peer and no one to be afraid of or held accountable toward?

slunken 01-06-2014 06:25 PM

for every boss that takes advantage sexually of an employee aren't there just as many people who try to sleep their way to the top?

Trotskilicious 01-06-2014 06:32 PM

yeah i bet there's lots of slutty women trying to sex their way to the top of the food service industry
