I had a bad experience at an applebees in southern maryland now I can't go back ever

in an almost unintelligible southern drawl the server asked me if I wanted my burger "with or without the pink"

I mean is that a normal thing to ask? also I can't even tell you about the worse stuff that happened to me there. I've probably repressed some of it

usually civilized people ask you how you want it cooked

but yea if the burger is not from fast food and is a big patty i would like it medium well thank you
