The administration sucks, the mods suck, 95% of the members suck, the discussions suck, everything about this place sucks. Over the past year or so this went from a pretty decent board to a complete shithole. At approx 130 am on Sunday morning in Sihanoukville i witnessed a horrific, violent unprovoked attack on old American man by a Cambodian. Outside the Hi Food shop opposite the Utopia disco an old bearded American man was crossing the road when a motodop offered him a ride. The man politely refused but the motodop fired off a string of abuse at him calling him a dog. The old guy snapped and started shouting "You people have no respect!" But in no way was he physically threatening. The motodop without any hesitation marched straight up to the old man and struck with full force on his jaw with his fist and knocked him like a stone onto the ground. Then he kept battering the old man. The old man escaped into the Hi Food shop but the motodop and a murderous mob (most of them Vietnamese) followed him as far as the shop door. A young American man shouted at them "Leave him alone he is just an old man!" Then the mob turned on him also. When I left the two men were cowering inside terrified for their lives.
The owner of the Sakal bungalows II next to the Hi Food, a Mr S Keth came out and witnessed what happened. He definitely has the influence to call the police at any time but did nothing and just turned away and walked back inside. In his advert he says how much he welcomes old people to his guest house???
I very rarely write on this board because I find there are what I call professional apologists for whatever evils the Cambodians visit on foreigners.
