Foods you've changed your mind about

I used to hate guacamole, but now I eat it a lot. Nom nom nom. Eating some right now with some sweet potato chips.

Cooked onions are p. good. I used to hate all onions. I still can't eat green onion though, yuck.

Any foods you used to hate and now like or vice versa?

I keep trying to like tomatoes but I just can't do it.

slunken 09-27-2013 10:34 PM

I have never changed my mind about anything!

Starla 09-27-2013 10:38 PM

Tomatoes. I used to hate them so much. We didn't eat a lot of veggies growing up. I still don't like asparagus, spinach, cabbage, radishes, or peas.

Starla 09-27-2013 10:39 PM

Have you tried grilled tomatoes? I like them that way. They taste a little sweet when cooked.

Dead Frequency 09-27-2013 10:43 PM

spinach. turns out you don't have to have it served all slimy and from a can

I wasn't so much changing my mind because I had never really properly tried it before, but I got increasingly more into raw food throughout my 20s

I like canned spinach but yeah, fresh cooked or just raw is so much better.

Exactly what I was going to say, I used to think all cooked greens had to be horrible because all I knew was canned spinach, but when I started growing my own garden I discovered how good it is when it's cooked fresh. Also sauerkraut, the stuff from the can is inedible , but if you can get your hands on some homemade kraut it's awesome.

mxzombie 09-27-2013 11:37 PM

brussels sprouts. those dang things are tasty

duovamp 09-27-2013 11:37 PM

All of them. Multiple times. I am open to change and growth.

Cherry flavour

See, this is how I get so fat. I've come to enjoy pretty much all food so I'm just doomed. I need to create some kind of association where most things are repulsive.

Walnuts
Olive oil
Tahini

vixnix 09-28-2013 02:08 AM

big shout out to collard greens and chicken dumplings. my step-dad introduced me to both when i was 8 and i was hesitant at first, but i get so excited when he makes them now.

well, I mean, I had spinach leaf on a sandwich instead of lettuce and it actually was pretty good. I remember my folks trying to slam this nasty, slimy processed spinach and I just had to sit there and stare at it for an hour or two before I could be excused from the table. then as an adult I'm like, it's actually edible if served in a different way.

teh b0lly!!1 09-28-2013 12:27 PM

eggplants

I've never understood why broccoli is such an unpopular food for kids. It doesn't taste amazing or anything, but there are a lot of grosser veges.

TuralyonW3 09-29-2013 12:16 AM

It tastes fucking vile

slunken 09-29-2013 12:17 AM

grosser veges
