Which Portland?

Rexie's has a great prime rib au jus. Ask for Derek, he'll set you up. Steamed clams at Marrington's, a late night walk along the promenade. Can't beat the view from the patio at the Brick House. Tuesday night there's a killer jazz trio and the best gin martinis you'll ever have. Steer clear of Nimizzo's Pub; the brisket was dry.

natural beauty you say? get outta downtown. mt tabor is great but still in portland. the grotto is great if you like peaceful shit with religous overtones. head to cannon beach. drive along the pch. there are a billion good places to eat in and around downtown. im sure there are a few thousand write ups on the web on what to do in portland based on your age and interests and hipster level. i prefer adventure over a structured visit. walk around the pearl a bit. then get the hell out and see all the neighborhoods. food pods are everywhere (parking lots with dozens of food trucks). there are lots of cool bars and dives. if you like pinball youll be set. lots of good pizza joints. but if you only ot two days i would spend one maybe hopping round downtown and the rest outside portland. there are some really cool hot spring tubs that i loved to go to on the weekends but i wont tell you about those cuz tourists ruin everything cool.
