FSU beats Clemson by two touchdowns.
If you don't think Georgia is the best one loss team then what sells you on Clemson? |
Offense is good. Good leadership. solid D. Most importantly, they've at least beat a good team, which Oregon really hasn't. Florida State destroyed a ranked team (although we don't really know how good Maryland is) and looks dominant.
|
Teams that have actually done something this year:
Stanford Alabama Florida State Clemson UCLA Ohio State (kind of) OU (kind of) |
So Texas is playing awesome
|
Who is this team in burnt orange??!
Hook 'em! |
OU hasn't had a single deep ball.
|
Oh Stanford...
|
lol at Michigan
|
Michigan was destined for that. They were probably the worst of the undefeated teams.
|
Georgia should have never been in the top 15, and they clearly shouldn't even be in the top 25, but who else thinks that they will only be dropped to number 11 or so on Monday?
|
You seriously have no concept of how many good teams there are in college football, do you?
|
We are only just now starting to figure that out. My point is that teams like Georgia get preferential treatment due to early speculation about how good they might be.
|
They came within a field goal of beating the team you think is best in the country or whatever.
There just doesn't appear to be logical consistency here. There are definitely not 25 teams better than Georgia. |

I think we need to go based upon what has actually happened on the field. I haven't seen 25 other teams, but Georgia does not look like the top 15 teams that I've seen in the past. |

I can hear it now: "Georgia's loss to Auburn just shows how deep the SEC is."
POWER RANKINGS BOOST FOR ALL SEC TEAMS AFTER THAT AMAZING PERFORMANCE BY AUBURN KNOCKING OFF A TOP-10 TEAM LIKE GEORGIA. |
Clemson is the best team in the country though.
Hm. |
The PAC 12 is fucking miserable. Stanford lost to Utah. Notre Dame has beaten two teams in a row. So.
|
And Notre Dame was lucky to gain 47 yards in the second half. Holy shit.
|
Time for Bama Oregon FSU OSU bcs controversy fuckfest.
|
OSU is obviously out

There is one top tier team in that conference. The rest are not even in tier 2 (*maybe* Mizzou is).
That is a far cry from what they have been in recent years. |
...but you didn't really answer my question. Which conference is better?
|
No conferences are better. We can't measure conferences in this way. We can only measure teams within conferences. Crikey, do people not remember anything older than 2 minutes on here?
I banged my head against the wall on this topic last in here: http://forums.netphoria.org/showthread.php?t=173930 |

Like I can say with some confidence that the pac 12 fucking blows this year |
because none of the teams in it are good.
|
No one who actually likes sports cares about college football right now.
