Also I think there is quite a bit of parity this year in the top and middle of the SEC, ACC and Pac-12. Hopefully this carries through to bowl season.

jczeroman 09-14-2013 11:50 PM

Oh, and I realise that being on the east coast is better than England, but crikey, I can see what no one in EST sees any Pac-12 games. Who is going to stay up until 2am watching Arizona State?

jczeroman 09-14-2013 11:51 PM

Oh, and Notre Dame should be dropped too.

Oh, and is every freaking team Oregon now? No huddle, zone read and bizarre uniforms is the m.o. of half the FBS this year...

sppunk 09-15-2013 12:09 AM

Good job Texas. Good effort.

Fuck off.

hangover from last week. purdue always seems to get up for ND. last year was even closer. the second half was fine. defense is still a little worrying but i still think 10-2 is a real possibility.

Surely you realise that this is not true at all?

no? should have lost to pitt last year. almost lost to purdue. but, they won. a win is a win.

you keep saying that teams should be dropped from the top 25, but who do you replace them with? #26 right now is michigan st. lol.

jczeroman 09-16-2013 07:30 PM

I agree that getting a W matters, but surely you recognise that not all wins are equal? In the early season especially, style points should mean a lot.

Eulogy 09-16-2013 10:38 PM

So again. Who goes into your top 25?

Dunno. I'd have Clemson and Alabama as my top 2 just because they've both accumulated quality wins. I wouldn't drop Wisconsin much, because their loss was hardly a bad one. Michigan State, Miss, Fresno and Texas Tech would be in there too.

Andy Staples just published his poll with commentary and he seems to think exactly like I do with Michigan and Notre Dame: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/col...?sct=cf_t11_a2

Eulogy 09-17-2013 08:38 PM

Except he has them 18 and 19 and you have them outside the top 25.

Polls before week 7 or so are meaningless. Debating them is a waste of time.

Eulogy 09-17-2013 08:47 PM

And he has ND higher than they are in the actual rankings.

So. ?

jczeroman 09-18-2013 09:10 PM

The point is not where he has them relative to me or other voters. The point is that he dropped a team even after it won for the exact reasons I mentioned.

Eulogy 09-18-2013 09:15 PM

the issue i took was you trying to maintain that both are not in the top 25.

but like i said, this entire discussion is dumb and meaningless.

Georgia should be dropped.

And Stanford looks every bit as good as Alabama right now. They should be at least #2.

TuralyonW3 09-22-2013 12:00 AM

Hook'em

TuralyonW3 09-22-2013 12:01 AM

Also I guess you missed Stanford struggling mightily with Army. #2? Please

jczeroman 09-22-2013 09:18 AM

I didn't see any of that game. I'll take your word for it.

These two are both looking bad, but many of the others still going strong.

Eulogy 09-29-2013 10:01 PM

Missing Golson way more than I thought they would. 8-4 this year. But once they get a QB, things should be good. A consistent ten win team after this year.

jczeroman 10-05-2013 10:08 PM

Notre Dame's uniforms are sick. Love the helmets too.

Eulogy 10-06-2013 03:29 AM

yeah i actually liked them a lot.

USC must be horrendous.

jczeroman 10-06-2013 06:10 PM

Right. Florida State, Clemson and Oregon should be in the top 3, and probably in that order.

Also, Georgia should not be the highest ranked one-loss team.
