Where would you choose to go?
If you had a choice between taking a trip to Yellowstone/Grand Teton or Grand Canyon/Petrified Forest, which would you choose? Maybe post why if you feel like it.

Of course we came upon a mall that was stuck in time (part of me likes to say we legitimately stepped back in time because it was one of the eeriest feelings I've ever had) and half the time we spent in traffic... |
im going to go to denver in september. I know i want to try to see the fall leaves in the Rocky Mountain Nat Park.
http://cbsdenver.files.wordpress.com..._312.jpg?w=620 I want to go everywhere so bad, but I only have a week :(. Have to choose. I've never been farther west than Ohio before. I will also be flying in a plane for the first time. I think I'm leaning toward Yellowstone, but still not sure. Everywhere looks so great. http://www.nationalparkguides.com/im...nal-park-l.jpg http://bostonvcblog.typepad.com/.a/6...f573970b-800wi http://o.aolcdn.com/os/mapquest/nati...ional-park.jpg http://www.travelwest.net/files/larg...and-canyon.jpg |

If you only have a week, go for yellowstone. Once you get to the southwest you'll wish you had more time....really. there are so many hidden spots around that area you'll be amazed. None of my trips down there were for less than 2 weeks. Both places are great and I wouldn't advise against either. It really depends on if you want trees and mountains or some really awesome desert. I've been to both and the only reasons I'd pick yellowstone/tetons is the fact that i fucking love mountains and the tetons are pretty sick. But i mean, there's a reason i've visited the southwest more than once, you know?
you can't go wrong. when's the trip? |
Going that last full week of September. Was worried it might be too cold then, but what i was reading online made it seem like it's a good time to go. We will see. I think I am going to go to Yellowstone, unless we just stay in Colorado. I love mountains and green stuff too (:
Did you go to yellowstone? What did you do/see when you were there? |
yeah i've been there and the tetons as well. basically just did a ton of hiking and fishing. geysers. buffalo, moose. trout. all the good stuff.
