how do you ascertain what gave you food poisoning

so yesterday i vomited like i have never vomited before in my life, it was something akin to that scene of team america where the puppet pukes so hard it pushes his head up off the concrete you know? i vomited like so incredibly hard

what i am confused is that it seemed the dire rear started in the morning, which would necessarily involve the pizza i had the previous day for lunch and dinner

however, my stomach didn't really turn into a riot zone until afternoon, which is after i had some breakfast tacos that morning.

I am now suspicious of both the breakfast tacos as well as the leftover pizza but i'm wondering which to blame for my discomfort. surely the pizza would have made me puke my brains out before 2pm on the next day right? I assume what made me barf like holy heaven had to be the tacos

Trotskilicious 07-16-2013 02:25 PM

i should mention for extra detail that i got a pomegranate pick me up from jamba juice to help steady my stomach, that was a failure so the enormous, exhausting puke that i did was colored purplish blue :)

if it was only you getting sick and not other other people who ate those meals with you, you may never know. And there's probably no way to figure it out after the fact. It could have been either of those items (pizza or tacos).

It can take from two too twelve hours for you to notice food poisoning. sometimes even a full day. It depends on the bacteria and your level of exposure.

Trotskilicious 07-16-2013 02:41 PM

well i eat alone because i don't have any friends and nobody loves me

so i guess i'll just have to throw out the rest of the pie. that is sad.

MyOneAndOnly 07-16-2013 02:47 PM

If you reheat it in the oven... to the point where the cheese melts, it should kill any bacteria that might have made you sick.

I would throw it away, though.

When I got it in April, I felt it the morning after and fuckvomited late morning. But I was able to tell because b and I ate the same thing.

I got food poisoning symptoms about 45 min after eating taco bell, and then one time it took several hours after eating KFC. Hope you feel better...

Dire rear. I like that.

If it smells more like breakfast tacos or leftover pizza.

just try to blame it on a nationality. (it's not racism, it's food poisoning.)

dire rear should replace diarrhea, it's one of the ugliest words and I always forget how to spell it

noyen 07-18-2013 01:41 AM

THE SKITTERS?

THE TROTS?

slunken 07-18-2013 02:00 AM

the greatest lesson i learned from grapes of wrath was that eating too much fruit (and only fruit) will give you the skitters

It's worse in British English: diarrhoea. Hence, most of us refer to it as "the shits".

first you ask yourself if you ate any pork products recently

vixnix 07-22-2013 10:58 AM

i always know because when i think about the food i've eaten in the last 24 hours, the thing that made me sick makes me want to vomit when i think about it again. it's pretty scientific if you think about it.
