Obama On Executive Actions: ‘I’ve Got A Pen And I’ve Got A Phone’

“We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help they need. I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” Obama said Tuesday as he convened his first Cabinet meeting of the year.

Obama continued: ”And I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward in helping to make sure our kids are getting the best education possible, making sure that our businesses are getting the kind of support and help they need to grow and advance, to make sure that people are getting the skills that they need to get those jobs that our businesses are creating.”

Something strange did happen last summer. Someone rented out an apartment downstairs, loaded a bunch of his stuff into it, and left. He doesn't live there at all. I haven't seen him since July. The manager told me that he's using it for storage. Now who in the world rents an apartment just for storage and hardly comes around? I say something is fishy...

the building i live in is all kinds of wtf. besides me and this one chick there's empty units where i'll see different random people go into from time to time. but i don't have to hear couples arguing or loud shitty music so i'm like whatever

It's a studio sized apartment. I cannot imagine what the guy has going on down there if he's never there. I have walked by that door so many times on my way to do laundry, thinking of what could be behind those blinds that are pulled so tightly.

Yeah, my place is pretty quiet, but sometimes it's too quiet. The last apt complex that I lived in back in Ca was all kinds of wtf. I overheard the neighbors one night talk about roasting their dog.
