I mean Pgh has awful fans, but at least they aren't Phi-level awful. Pgh's awful fans are Steelers fans though, not Pirate fans. Ain't nobody under 45 a Pirates fan. It's just too depressing.

Pirates fans are a lot like Browns fans IMO. Heartbreak and sorrow greet their shrinking number of ticket holders every season. There's a level of respect you gotta have for those guys. :(

Trotskilicious 07-10-2013 11:39 AM

i'm pretty sure the browns still sell out every game dogg

steelers fans are only annoying because of all the bandwagoners

duovamp 07-10-2013 12:02 PM

It isn't bandwagoning when they're consistently decent.

The Browns defs aren't selling out every game. I think their only sellout games are from when they play the Steelers and Pittsburghers drive 3 hours to Cleveland for a cheap Steelers game that's almost guaranteed to be a win.

duovamp 07-10-2013 12:05 PM

Oh and from Steelers fans who live in Ohio, which almost certainly outnumber Cleveland and Cinci fans combined.

FLINT, MI – George Zimmerman – the Florida man on trial for a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin – has a cheering section nearly 1,200 miles away at a Flint business.

Donald Sampson, owner of Junk Iron & Metal, 120 S. Center Road, has a large sign posted in front of his business that reads, “Justice for George Zimmerman not guilty."

“I put up the sign because I think it’s wrong of the judge over the case to excuse the jury during the testimony of the lead investigator on the case,” Sampson said.

bullshite:

Browns fans filled 99.8% of the seats at Cleveland Browns Stadium during the last seven seasons, despite a combined record of 36 wins and 76 losses over that span.

duovamp 07-10-2013 01:24 PM

1. That isn't selling out.
2. Those are not all Browns fans.
3. Seats are empty every game. Tickets may be sold but massive amounts of seats are vacant. Very empty. Go to a Browns game against a team outside their division and it's a ghost house.

duovamp 07-10-2013 01:26 PM

Also the reason people across the country are Steeler fans us so many of them leave this shitty state for greener pastures.

Trotskilicious 07-10-2013 01:27 PM

whatever guy i still think you are full of it, browns fans are legendary for their devotion

duovamp 07-10-2013 01:29 PM

No shit, nobody is saying they aren't? I'm saying they are few. And they have my blessings. Poor sods. :(

Trotskilicious 07-10-2013 01:41 PM

AND I AM SAYING THEY ARE LEGION

Trotskilicious 07-10-2013 01:43 PM

"this should not be a national news story" shut the fuck up you asshole moron Philadelphian troll dogturd

Why should it be a national news story? What makes this murder any more special the hundreds of murders that are committed every day in this country? Nothing. It's just another case of the national media picking a random murder out of the many and choosing to make it a national story so they can soak in the ratings and focus the majority of their coverage on it so they can avoid covering any of the real issues in this country.

You see this shit constantly in this country and it's disgusting, exploitation of murders that have no business dominating the national spotlight but they bring in the ratings because it's a real life soap opera for people to follow and it allows the news corporations to avoid actual journalism and informing people of the actual problems in this country that need addressing. This shouldn't be a huge national story, Casey Anthony shouldn't have been a huge national story, Jodi Arias shouldn't have been a national story and the countless exploited murders of the past and the ones to come in the future aren't deserving of being a national story. This isn't national news, this isn't important to the country. This has no effect on the American populous. This is an unfortunate tragedy for those involved and that's it but it has no business being as big of a national story as it is. But our news in this country is a massive joke so this is what we get, and you're a huge part of the reason why.

Trotskilicious 07-10-2013 06:45 PM

that's cool man take care

Banana 07-10-2013 06:50 PM

Yeah that's what I thought.

duovamp 07-10-2013 06:52 PM

See ya, dude. Take 'er easy.

Trotskilicious 07-10-2013 06:55 PM

great points, i'm sure people will listen since you have black friends and are way cool and stuff

Banana 07-10-2013 07:03 PM

Can you at all explain what makes this an important national news story? Or are you only incapable of avoiding that at all costs because you cannot?

We see this constantly with our national media in this country. Once this trial ends you will have a new random murder case they will latch onto in a month or two and obsessively follow that as if it is at all has any sort of important impact on this country all the while they are many important issues both in this country and around the world that are flat out being ignored or are not given the attention they deserve due to the intense focus the media puts on these insignificant (read: to the general population, again significant to those involved personally but not to the country) stories.

duovamp 07-10-2013 07:15 PM

So anyway I says to Mable I says...

Yeah there are no controversial laws involved in this or anything like that.

It's not like the outcome of this trial is basically saying it's okay to go around shooting unarmed people after you have stalked them through the night.

Nope just your normal murder trial, not really saying anything about any controversial laws at all.

Rider 07-10-2013 09:34 PM

Yep nothing at all to be concerned about on a national level at all...

http://www.npr.org/2013/01/02/167984...se-in-homicide

Just your normal average trial...

Bread Regal 07-10-2013 10:26 PM

Well stand your ground isn't being invoked in this trial, so they're not really connected.

yo soy el mejor 07-10-2013 10:52 PM

did trayvon martin stand his ground (and die for it)? is he allowed to do that? or do you have to be at home?

Bread Regal 07-10-2013 10:58 PM

Before stand your ground was enacted, Florida had the castle doctrine which says that you can use a firearm in self defense, but you have have a duty to retreat if it is safe to do so. Castle doctrine made it so you could do this outside of your home. SYG did away with the duty to retreat.

I can't for the life of me determine why the prosecution hasn't invoked stand your ground on behalf of Trayvon.
