They talked about this in the first 10 minutes. Basically what they expected was that Gordon was going to show up, tell them their food was mind blowing and that the customers were the problem.

And when he said it was shit (except for the desserts which were revealed via facebook to be all store bought) they were beside themselves.

Oh I missed the store bought desserts thing. Haaaah.

It's a money laundering operation. There's a reason why Samy is the only person allowed to touch the till. He's racking up phony receipts to account for the cash thats flowing through the place. He's washing money for someone. I'll bet they're claiming half a million in sales a year.

Tchocky 05-15-2013 06:07 PM

Apparently Amy tried opening a credit card up in someone else's name about ten years ago, and was sued by the government.

Trotskilicious 05-15-2013 06:13 PM

oh it wasn't a student loan

i still think it's weird that they'd want to draw this much attention to their money laundering operation but it does strongly, Strongly suggest mafia ties. Crazy italian guy, braindead mental spoiled "trophy" wife (for lack of better term), totally hopeless business. But why go on TV? I guess we'll know what the truth is if they both get whacked..

I have never seen this show before and I don't know who Ramsey Gordon is but this was very entertaining.

It would be absolutely hilarious if they were investigated by the IRS as a result of this episode airing

Chef Ramsey is the shit. He usually has to yell at folks to get through to them or get their asses in gear, but in this episode I don't think he yells more than once. He is so utterly shocked by the behavior of these nutcases and sort of stares in disbelief throughout the ordeal

soniclovenoize 05-15-2013 08:28 PM

What channel is this show on? My cables all fucked up.

Eulogy 05-15-2013 08:31 PM

Fox

yo soy el mejor 05-15-2013 08:35 PM

sometimes we watch full episodes of kitchen nightmares on youtube. the uk version is better because there's loads less yelling from everyone and it isn't so much of a production.

Future Boy 05-15-2013 08:38 PM

Wheres the fun in that.

Definitely. The American version is almost insulting in the amount of editing wankery and dramatic musical fills

Trotskilicious 05-15-2013 10:24 PM

such is american tv

Eulogy 05-15-2013 10:34 PM

american television, outside of reality shows, is really wonderful these days. let's not generalize too much here.

Order 66 05-15-2013 10:35 PM

network television not so much. cable/basic cable yessir

killtrocity 05-15-2013 10:37 PM

Outside the basic channels I would agree. 2,5,7,9,12 put out some truly crap shows, but I guess that's always the case

edit: yeah what he said

Eulogy 05-15-2013 10:39 PM

the fact that Breaking Bad, The Americans, Mad Men, Rectify, American Horror Story, Veep, Family Tree, Girls, Parks and Rec, Archer... and some others I'm forgetting are all airing right now is really phenomenal.

Trotskilicious 05-15-2013 11:41 PM

i read that P&R is back off deaths door and is doing more eps, is that true?

last year it was like 10 more and cancelled and then the other day i was reading that it's still going

okay network american television is a vast field of horseshit police procedurals, singing competitions, and dumb reality programming

slunken 05-15-2013 11:56 PM

i'm confused was there ever a time when america wasn't the leader in broadcast entertainment

Trotskilicious 05-16-2013 12:05 AM

what does that mean exactly, though

slunken 05-16-2013 12:07 AM

i think it would mean that they set the standards that everyone else copies

Trotskilicious 05-16-2013 12:08 AM

that would be false then

Trotskilicious 05-16-2013 12:09 AM

american entertainment sets a very low bar for "standards"
