pro war conservatives seem to be trying to rewrite history here, ignoring the stupidity of the Iraq war and focusing on the "surge" as though it was the battle of Normandy or something. As if it was a giant triumph of our military.

Forget how the government lied to start the war.

I don't think he's a sore loser so much as is experiencing the onset of Alzheimer's.

Hagel does not come across as intelligent at all. It's frightening to think he could make decisions that leads to lives of thousands.

Thankfully he won't if confirmed, as it's a mostly figurehead role.
