Starla 11-04-2012 06:28 PM

I saw it.

*spoilers*

I guess she turned into a demon.

obscured01 11-04-2012 07:07 PM

We went to see it lastnight. I was more so confused about the other little boy Robbie - at first I thought he was Hunter and his name had been changed, but then that wasn't right.

killtrocity 11-04-2012 07:31 PM

she turned into a demon in the first goddamn movie. fuck this shit

slunken 11-05-2012 01:04 AM

i don't think i'll be seeing any more films from this franchise

slunken 11-05-2012 01:07 AM

the best part of this movie was robby's sweatpants

kelsome 11-05-2012 02:38 AM

will the kinect really do that?

I too thought robbie was hunter. I don't understand where robbie came from.

kelsome 11-05-2012 02:38 AM

or robby, whatever

i mean i thought it was understood that she was a possessed person going into this movie. are you upset with how cruddy the movie was or because you didn't understand why she was way she was.

kelsome 11-05-2012 02:41 AM

for the record, i did think it was cruddy.

Toast 11-05-2012 12:48 PM

This one was the least scarey of the four.

Tchocky 11-05-2012 01:42 PM

Anyone catch the bizarre hidden scene at the end of the credits?

nothing scary really happened. the scariest part was the blink182 guy getting his head twisted in plain sight and that's not scary its brutal.

slunken 11-05-2012 02:28 PM

and the ending was horrible. obvious set-up to keep the franchise going. this movie (i felt) was pure filler. a segue for another movie.

vixnix 11-05-2012 07:00 PM

I decided not to see this movie and we saw taken 2 instead, not knowing anything about it. I mistakenly thought it was a sequel to Taking Lives. God, movies are so disappointing right now.

Starla 11-06-2012 12:17 AM

Paranormal activity 5..... she turns into a demon at the end.

You are sumthin else lol

null123 11-06-2012 01:29 AM

I only saw the first one and I know a lot of people said it wasn't scary at all..but i saw it alone and then went back to my extremely creepy bare apartment on a cold rainy night and i was also severely depressed to the point of being really crazy and i was freaking the fuck out...

vixnix 11-06-2012 02:04 AM

All that ghost stuff scares me but after the first one I could see the rest were going to be as stupidly plotless as the first so I passed. I like a bit of mystery with my frights.

null123 11-06-2012 02:09 AM

I can't see any of the sequels being good. the movie seemed very superficial and self-contained, but it did a good job playing on my personal anxieties in terms of how surprisingly dreamlike it was. those are the only kinds of horror movies that can really get to me.

slunken 11-06-2012 02:32 AM

the first one is an example of cinema verite at its best imo.

@ cbag - i've always loved "self-contained" movies - if by what you mean is the isolationist feeling throughout the filming - no context of the outside world

slunken 11-06-2012 02:35 AM

not to mention the fact that most of the movie happens while the characters are asleep or supposed to be asleep rather

null123 11-06-2012 02:44 AM

yeah I love it too. which is why I really don't want any more from the franchise. more context or stories would kind of ruin what it had going for it.

slunken 11-06-2012 01:24 PM

yea it does
