Typology business venture is taking off.
I found someone who wants to use my concept. I developed a theory of personality types some years back that is similar to the Myers Briggs in that it also borrows ideas of Carl Jung's. I have decided to use it as a tool in career guidance applying different careers to each of three types I came up with. I developed a questionnaire and a full career guide for this concept.
A man at work who is an intern for a social worker wants to use my concept for his career counseling program at church. After talking with a cousin of mine who is a retired attorney I decided the best thing to do was to have him sign a non disclosure agreement which lets me maintain all the rights to my work and which also makes it clear that this is a business opportunity. I showed him my work and he signed the non disclosure. Now it's just a matter of waiting for him to show it to this other guy who is also involved with the career counseling program and also him figuring out how he is going to apply the concept. |
well, good luck
are you going to get paid, like is that what you mean by being clear it's a business venture? |
Yeah definitely. It's just a matter of when.

When I was deciding which careers to select for which types I used these two websites to help me which both seem to already do it extensively with the Myers Briggs.

The descriptions of the Myers Briggs types on the similar minds website are kind of funny in how specific and in-depth they are
"daydreams about people to maintain a sense of closeness" "prone to dreaming about a rescuer" "anti counterculture" "does not appreciate strangeness" "would rather be friendless than jobless" |
yeah totally. they become useless at that point
|
my favorite trait that similarminds uses is "familiar with the darkside"
|
how about this one
"does not like happy people" |
That's a tough one.
|
you made him sign a non-disclosure agreement with the understanding that he's going to show it to someone?
|
It's not really a third party because the guy he knows is involved with the same program at his church. It's just a another part of the second party. I don't see it as giving access to a third party. It's like him and the guy are one company and I'm the other company.
|
how you see it? are you a lawyer?
|
i mean the whole NDA thing is hilarious and over the top but the other guy hasn't signed anything
|
but hey i'm not a lawyer either
