I have no idea what it is. It went on for two nights in a row and stopped. My sister says we have ghosts here. :]

This is nothing compared to the footsteps at night I had to listen to in my old apartment in Hayward. Almost every night around 1 am, I would hear feet shuffling on the carpet, coming down the hallway. It would stop as it got to the living room and just pause there, turn and go to the front door. Later on I found out from a neighbor that the girl who lived there was killed on the way home from a Rolling Stones concert in the 70's. It could have been her.... :[
