Is no one here watching The Walking Dead season 3? (Spoilers)
 

This season has been great so far through two episodes. The first season of the show outside of the first episode was terrible. Season two was really good, people want to hate on it being slow in the beginning while it developed but I though it was good all the way through. It defiantly jumped to another level when it came back after the mid-season break. And it's jumped up even another notch in quality so far this season.


Rick has become cold-blooded and it's awesome. Killing Shane has caused him to become Shane. Also kept expecting Herschell to bite someones face off.

season 2 fucking sucked. i refuse to watch this show anymore.

yeah it was a pretty visceral episode. the zombie fighting definitely went up a notch

i dunno though, maybe it's because i'm currently watching game of thrones and it's so incalculably better, but this episode was a classic cherub rock album, uh i mean season opener. lots of action, wham bam thank you ma'am, but you know, it doesn't really seem that exciting anymore. something really interesting needs to happen. they've been running away from zombies for two straight seasons now, and while it's realistically tiresome, and i get that that's part of the point - it kinda gets dull.

this is my stance.

i hated all of the characters. like, actively rooted for them all to die. that is a sign of a bad tv show. i gave up about 5 episodes in i think.

Season 2 was really sluggish for the majority of it and was only good in spots. Haven't seen either of the two Season 3 episodes yet but from what I've gathered, they're both markedly better than pretty much anything from Season 2. I'll get to watching them eventually.

Last night. New episode every Sunday night. And last nights episode was amazing.

it has its problems but i'll probably watch every episode til the end and not regret it. the show's an institution with my friends and coworkers we're always talking about it. i think last seasons drag paid off in the end, but i know im in the minority there
this season i dunno yet. i expect another lonely island season where the prison takes the place of the farm, but you'll have andrea and michonne to break the monotony

if it follows the comics, the prison will not be the lonely island you expect

at the end of ep 1 season 3 there is a "this season on walking dead" clip that pretty much shows the prison isn't going to be the lonely island. but don't ruin it for me because i havent read the comics.

\that guy in that .gif sees dead people coming back to life and eating other people but a machete in some dudes skull freezes him and he can't do anything even though he has a weapon and the machete guy is being a jerkoff too just admiring his own work so hes distracted

no, i only post spoilers from the comics AFTER the show has reached that point. example: herschel didn't make it off the farm in the books, and it was Dale's leg that got amputated

haha. i will probably read the comic after. i hate reading things. i've read about some of the differences so far in the past episodes. it's pretty interesting how they've changed it up a little.

season 2 was a real turn off
but I was VERY bored the other night and watched the first two episodes of season 3
i was pleasantly impressed
maybe because my expectations were low
maybe they were good episodes
but i don't have much to discuss on the show. eh, zombies, how embarrassing in 2012.

Because they were trapped in a prison and really unaware that there was a Zombie Apocalypse in the world. They thought there was just some crazy shit going on in the prison and had been holed up in the cafeteria for all that time waiting for someone to get the.

Do the characters change at all on this show? Or is it just gory event after gory event with post apocalyptic grittiness and the characters are all sort of resigned to living this way?

The main character Rick has changed a shit load since season 1.

kind of weird how everybody's hair has grown out except his. it'd prolly look like jew fro though

i think the show is now about 200 days or so since the zombie outbreak or whatever so its too early to tell in some cases. but in short, yes, many of the characters have changed alot.

and the violence is fairly sporadic. in fact one of the main criticisms of the show is 'alot of it is just people talking'... so its not some dudebro zombie show

what would be wrong with a show like that

my problem with the walking dead is that it tries to be a legit quality drama. and it doesn't have the story, writing, plot, or actors for that.

it varies. i find the faults kind of hilarious personally. its like beyond camp sometimes

I like it how I liked Lost. You're going to have some awful acting and writing at times but it's still highly entertaining.

Another really good episode. This governor group is definitely going to war with the Rick group before the end of this season.
