which probably only works against me in the end because i can't even truly be me on the internet

i feel like i get into confrontations with people here that i really think i'd love to hang out with in real life, because i don't feel like even major differences in opinion should keep me from trying to befriend and learn about different people

isn't that what life is about, becoming better through not only your experiences but those of others as well?

it's a fine approach but some people here are combative and confrontational, and need arguments and flame wars to feel like there's a discussion. i'm not even passing judgement, some people communicate better through argument i guess

no life is about getting stuff, being cool and having friends
