i promised myself i wouldnt spend any more money on games coz of my massive backlog. but i impulse bought it ... judging from the reviews i though it was going to be a massive mindfuck of a game. wasnt quite that but still its pretty fun ... the stealth isnt a pain in the ass, if you decide to go in that direction, anc the combat is simple but not braindead where youre just button mashing. either way i like that it lets you choose how to pla

my gaming habits are, buy a new game... get to a hard part.... quit and go back to skyrim. rinse and repeat

not to be the drooling idiot whose sole fascination is with graphics but i've watched a gameplay vid and was surprised at how bad it looked.
kind of looks like a refurbished version of Thief from back in the day. which i loved in its time, but for a new game that gets a 9 on gamespot i expected more slickness

yeah i expected the graphics to be better too. supposedly it looks better if you install it on your hard drive (i'm playing the 360 version btw) but i cant be bothered. also the presentation is a little annoying... the load screens and stuff are busy looking. kinda breaks the immersion
but the art direction makes up for it mostly. the world has a watercolor look its not aiming for super realism. plus the steampunk city looks cool in alot of parts

You should just sell that crap and go buy Borderlands 2.

i kinda sorta want to try borderlands. dont know if its quite up my ally i'm not big on FPS multiplayer things if thats what it is. i might pick up the first one at the bargain bin sometime

73 hours into xenoblade and have no intention of putting it down for this bullshit

borderlands is going to drive me nuts with the loot system

even on xenoblade i keep save scumming everytime i open a chest if it doesnt have what i want

have you played the Last Story? i didnt even know it was out in america but i saw it yesterday at the store. its made by the final fantasy guy so i figured i might want to get it...

Very good graphics, huge detailed world. The graphics took some time to get used to though bc they are very cartoonish....like a comic book or graphic novel.

It is a fps, doesn't have to be multiplayer....it's very free roaming like Skyrim...and you get to pick and choose how to build up your character.

If I was you I wouldn't waste your money on 2 if you're not really into fps, but you should definitely buy Borderlands 1 and give it a try!

I know, I waste way too much time searching for top secret hidden chests.... And i almost always wind up getting stuck between weird cliffs or rocks, and then I have to restart, its happened so many times.

I ut $20 down on it but haven't been able to swing by gamestop to get it.

it's got his name on it and the soundtrack seems selected by someone in his house that's about it, it's just cross promotion gimmickry

brooklyn gets a unique intro video, and they seem to be OP possibly because they made brook lopez and his potential way better than he probably is. they already made the finals first year out (got swept by OKC) but that was because bron bron got hurt in the semi-finals. i mean i can kinda believe that, they have a pretty strong roster and they're going to be an ace defensive squad but

gameplay is improved, there's more dunks and cuts to the basket that are successful, you can roll off and blow past defenders with the guys that can do that (durant, westbrook, wade, bron bron, etc) and you can pass outside to in and inside to out if you have the right lanes and you're using someone who can pass well. you still need to lean on the stars, but sometimes your role players come alive like real life (had a game where raja bell uncorked 5 threes) you couldn't do any of this stuff in last year's game and it didn't necessarily play like real hoops but this year it's been somewhat rectified. post play is still kind of iffy with most players, but it's been improved over last year's almost total uselessness. i still feel like sometimes the computer decides you're gonna lose no matter what happens and it's real hard to get momentum shifts and put together runs but that may be because i get desperate.

franchise mode is basically the same, there have been a couple of refinements but most of the frustrating stuff like guys that resigned with you before the draft don't appear on your roster until after the draft and being unable to trade during the free agency period (which is unbelievably irritating and ridiculous) but it's still awesome fun

dirty projectors are on the sndtrk though which i thought was weird, can't tell if that is cool or not

i'm stuck on the next to the last level of medal of honor underground its too hard :(

picked up dishonored today...really liking it so far. I'm not very good at stealth just yet. Glad I bought that vision perk early on too! It's real helpful when looking for swag.

i also like how plague rats can attack you endlessly but you dont end up with the plague somehow.

anyway i havent had a chance to play more of this game, and 90% of the time i spent playing it i was drunk. so hopefully i'll know what i'm doing when i pick it up again. its pretty flexible so i'm confident i can get myself out of whatever dumb situation i got myself into. the best advice i can give so far is buy a shitload of sleep arrows.. unless you dont mind taking the violent route (which will end in more rats)

Finished today...absolutely fucking loved it. Might try another play through and try not to kill anyone.

i keep trying to keep my choas level low but its high every fucking time. i thought i was a boss only having a kill a handful of people on my last mission but still... CHAOS LEVEL: HIGH. oh well.. maybe next playthrough

nah i decided to wait until the game of the year edition for all the skyrim DLC. that way i can force myself to spend some time away from it. (i've gone roughly a month so far... ~200 hrs in and STILL discovering new areas. christ)

also i have an old 360, the kind where you need a thingamajig attachment to go online
