Should be more. He'll still die in prison, but it should've been a couple hundred years.

Now he gets to go work doing clerical stuff, read, watch TV, work out, have visitors, etc. he won't be in general population so the chance if him being initiated is slim.

I simply mean the number of counts vs years isn't much. Sure it doesn't matter because he isn't eligible for parole until 98 but seems like it should be more than a couple years per convicted victim.

Guy did terrible things and should be taken out of society but it's still pretty sickening how people want him to suffer. I'm not talking about the victims or their families, but the average person that gets a hard on from other people "getting what they deserve".

If a poor black dude raped a bunch of kids he'd be executed, and this guy gets to basically live at a retirement home for the rest of his days? Doesn't seem right.

afaik, you can only get the death penalty for murder or treason

some states have it for rape of persons under 12 but i think it was ruled unconstitutional or some shit, cruel and unusual punishment about 10 years ago... let's see

i looked it up in 2008 so that makes sense, i just thought it was 2003 for some reason. maybe that's when that dude committed his crime or something.

i'm against the death penalty in all forms, including for child rape, but de facto life in prison doesn't feel like an out-for-blood kind of thing. it's for protecting the populous more than anything.

I want to see bad people burn in hell, call me an asshole. Since there's a 97% chance of there being no hell I fear that some people will never get what's coming for them. But in the end we're all connected man and we're all in this together so... idk does anyone else see where I'm coming from or are you really all that Christ-like? Not that punishment changes what happened, but... if you can get away with the most awful shit, then what's the point?

i dunno man, it's not like what you can get away with. if i could get away with it, i don't want to (literally or figuratively) fuck other people over anyway. i like to think someone like sandusky cannot emotionally connect to other people and therefore is missing out on the best parts of humanity, even if he doesn't realize it. this isn't to say oh boo hoo for him, fuck him you know what i mean, but there are things more devastating than jail, and they go with just being that kind of person and of losing your own fucked up game

eventually he's going to have to deal internally with what he's done. how do you live after that. i mean who knows if he's literally a sociopath or not, but if he's not than what happens when he stops being in denial? sandusky death watch? and if he is a sociopath, he is already in his own little world where again he has lost his own fucked up game and now has nothing to live for, of course he wouldn't kill himself, but someone who is a child rapist is not a happy person
