“I used to be a conservative, and I watch these debates and I’m wondering — I don’t think I’ve changed, but it’s a little troubling sometimes when people are appealing to people’s fears and emotion rather than trying to get them to look over the horizon for a broader perspective, and that’s kind of where we are,” said Bush, according to Fox News. “I think it changes when we get to the general election. I hope.”

One of the most impressive dudes at the musee d'orsay in paris was William-Adolphe Bouguereau:

These were pretty big paintings like several feet tall, so really impressive in person

TuralyonW3 02-25-2012 01:25 AM

probably the best time I've ever had an an art exhibit was a Dan Flavin restrospective at the modern art museum in Paris. It really has to be experienced in person, doesn't really come though in pics

I really know jack shit about art. I've got a friend who's an artist though, Greg Luckeroth, he does a lot of woodblock prints, some pretty sweet stuff:

So here is an image by Thomas Joshua Cooper. I'd say he is probably one of the greatest living photographers.
He travels to some of the most extreme places on earth and makes images on an old 19th century camera, and has so far discovered several islands on his travels.
