to start off, you want to act like you don't care what people think, but really they want to know that deep down you do! to accomplish this, make your jokes like theirs. in order to do that, you have to like what they like. i know, this takes effort, and you may not really like what they like, but if you want to be "cool," you better start now!

next, when someone insults you, don't turn it into a gay joke! maybe try hurling an insult back using something they've done in the past. this required more hard work, but they'll probably respect you for your diligence in learning about them. most importantly, don't let internet jokes hurt your feelings! everyone knows that lame comebacks are just a thinly veiled way of saying "you just made me very sad."

finally, if you're going to troll, make sure other internet users can tell and maybe even chuckle at it! no one likes a troll that's trying too hard. that's like a neighborhood kid showing off his slingshot to a hardened marine!

I was thinking about this yesterday. It's kind of ridiculous for me to simply be a Tier 1 boarder, when I am clearly the most respected member of the board. John ******, the Bohemian Gadabout You Love So Well, shouldn't have to really be in the same Tier as some of the other Tier 1 boarders. Its not fair to them to be in my shadow. I should be the only Tier 0 boarder.
