what this board was negative about the black keys even when brothers came out

i thought brothers was a fantastic album fwiw

of course there is absolutely nothing about the black keys that is groundbreaking or revolutionary it's just blues songs filtered through distortion, it's nothing radical or new it's just well done

thank you for someone finally having a level headed view of that band (even if the band doesn't have a level headed view of themselves.)

either people slobber all over their cocks or think they're awful. very few in between.

well i listen to a lot of those 90s nostalgia acts that i think sonicloveboys was dumping on for not "pushing the boundaries of music"

i think that's a stupid ass litmus test

if it sounds good it is good sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit

BRMC are garage rock and blues rock just like the Black Keys. How am I trolling? It's a fair comparison.

redbull 01-10-2012 03:06 AM

Gossamer 01-10-2012 11:00 PM

new black keys album is pretty fucking good.
