Santorum Comes From Behind in Iowa

What? No thread?

Can't believe (as of right now, 6:22 pm PST) that Santorum is in the top 3.

TuralyonW3 01-03-2012 10:26 PM

Just wait until the Romney fortune unleashes ads against Ron Paul

Toast 01-03-2012 11:09 PM

I hate that we have to pay attention to Iowa, but i hope paul does well.

sppunk 01-03-2012 11:10 PM

Iowa doesn't matter except to knock Bachman out of the race.

Order 66 01-03-2012 11:12 PM

i dunno, in this case i think if romney lost it'd slow down his momentum an awful lot. unless people are dumb enough to be surprised when he wins new hampshire

The Omega Concern 01-03-2012 11:47 PM

Santorum leading this thing is a joke. The establishment neo-con's have openly said the Iowa caucus will be tainted if Paul wins. They then decide to count the votes in secret. Typical. Awfully suspicious but not at all surprising.

If you need further proof our media is sold out to the anglo-phile death march in the mid-east (that Ron Paul rails against) and will do anything to stop debate on the matter, look no further:

HE KNOWS TOO MUCH

The Omega Concern 01-04-2012 12:00 AM

yah, a soldier talking about how his entire career has been during wartime, supporting Ron Paul's foreign policy and claiming Isreal is big enough to fight their own battles is heresy to CNN and Wolf Blitzer in particular.

sppunk 01-04-2012 12:12 AM

Counting votes in secret? CNN has shown them count/say results all night dude.

Order 66 01-04-2012 12:25 AM

about 90% of pricincts reporting so far... romney leading at a solid 25%. looks like he may pull if off after all. bummer

Order 66 01-04-2012 12:41 AM

jesus. this really is right down to the wire

sppunk 01-04-2012 12:43 AM

Romney will "win" with Story County and Dubuque yet to come in.

Bachman not conceding, fuck her.

Order 66 01-04-2012 12:45 AM

i'd vote for her

sppunk 01-04-2012 12:48 AM

Is "vote for her" a new euphemism the kids are up using these days?

Order 66 01-04-2012 12:51 AM

kids these days run wild voting for anybody. a 16 year old girl voted for me only 10 minutes after meeting me

How stupid are you? The RNC of Iowa counted the votes at an undisclosed location. CNN is merely parroting what that entity wants.

sppunk 01-04-2012 01:00 AM

Perry is out. Thank Jesus.

Based on a county-by-county extrapolation of precincts that have yet to report, the final total would be Mr. Romney 30,286 votes, Mr. Santorum 30,201 votes. Needless to say, it may still be some time before this race gets called.

However, even though Mr. Santorum has a very small lead right now, the remaining precincts look to be ever so slightly more favorable to Mr. Romney.

TuralyonW3 01-04-2012 01:05 AM

37 vote difference with 97%

obviously a win for anal froth, even if romney wins.

sppunk 01-04-2012 01:08 AM

Santorum spent like $500,000 in Iowa. Romney and Perry both spent around $10 million.

Money doesn't get you what it used to.

Oh and Newt Gingrich is a piece of shit.

Is this just a general observation or did he do something particularly shitty tonight?

TuralyonW3 01-04-2012 01:49 AM

Romney is such a fake penis. He's standing up there breaking down the verses to America the beautiful

Ha Matthews calls him a merchandiser selling product. "he's out of the hall of presidents, he doesn't even have a heart"

Sanatorium defending sodomy laws:

Quote:

"If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything."

"Whether it's polygamy, whether it's adultery, whether it's sodomy, all of those things, are antithetical to a healthy, stable, traditional family."

I've disconnected a bit from politics, but it couldnt have been enough that either of these are close to being accurate.

Future Boy 01-04-2012 02:25 AM

Also, lucky for santorum he hit his notromney peak at the right time.
