A friend of mine chose an mp3 player over a new iPod nano bacauese he hates iTunes.

The Maps app is free and does a pretty good job with directions...

Is it basically like a GPS unit though? Android gives voice directions and updates based on your location... my sis was talking about it like it would only give you a basic list of turns to make. I was trying to figure out why she wanted a Garmin for Christmas when she has a damn smartphone.

My brother had a tomtom GPS for awhile, and he loved it

it doesnt have voice but it gives pretty good directions and it will show yer location as yer driving

im not a fan of gps really...im old skool; just gimme a map and i can find it.
